On the flipside, our hearts go out to all those who had to leave Nijmegen, all those still waiting for a residence permit, for their opportunity of creating a real existence, and the people and children who are and will remain waiting to be reunited with their beloved family members for a long time to come.

Wednesday the 20th of April there will be an information evening about people who have been denied a residence permit and are now waiting with their children, in total more than a thousand, under the constant threat of being deported. See the event page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1583654125285033/
We will have a chillout and jamsession, some DJ's, and maybe some acts. Please feel welcome to join us with musical or creative acts and performances. We also hope to play with artists and musicians from Heumensoord. We will have some amplification for the Jamsession, but please bring your own instruments and other toys.
The entrance is free for anyone, and we'll have a donation for solidarity initiatives with and for refugees. We will decide and inform you about the causes soon, keep track of the event here. Also, we would love to be able to support a few of our friends who have already been transferred to join us at the party, so we may consider to make a separate donation pot for them so they can pay for their train ticket.
[Housing] We are going to help our friends who have a permit with making a new life and possibly returning to Nijmegen. The main thing we need are people who can provide housing possibilities (rooms, etc.) and people who are willing to lend our trusted friends some money to get through their first month of independent living until they get a 'Bijstandsuitkering'. If you have any questions or worries, we have all information you need, so please contact justPeople facebook page or someone personally. In a later stage, we hope to build up a more political activistic community where we address the issues concerning housing and social inclusion, for both people with and without permit.
There is never no reason to party, so we invite you to come over for a night with music, good vibes and great people.
