The absolute king of noise
Merzbow's status in the underground can hardly be overstated. Both in range and in volume of his output, it is hard to find an artists that is as inexhaustable as he. While much of Masami Akita's output is intensely harsh in character, he does occasionally use elements of melody and rhythm.
