Alle (deep)house-, minimal, techhouse en technoliefhebbers opgelet; ook dit jaar vier je de jaarwisseling in Breda! Na een jaar van afwezigheid is LEKTRIK terug met oud & nieuw….. En hoe!! Met gepaste trots presenteert LEKTRIK ook dit jaar weer een line-up van formaat om het nieuwe jaar in te luiden. Uiteraard weer op de locatie der locaties van Breda; Theater de Avenue. Met dj’s in het verleden tijdens oud & nieuw, zoals Secret Cinema, Darko Esser, Steve Rachmad, Olene Kadar en telkens een uitverkochte zaal, behoeft dit feest verder weinig introductie.

Amsterdam based Makam is one of the biggest names to come from the Dutch electronic music scene in the last ten years. Playing major clubs and festivals across the world week in week out, Makam has become a staple of what house music is supposed to be. Makam has shared his infectious vision of house music in some of the most respected clubs (Trouw, Panoramabar, Robert Johnson, Fabric, Rex) and festivals (Awakenings, Lowlands, WTTF) across the world. This summer will also see Makam play alongside the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Sven Vath at Cocoon at Amnesia in Ibiza. On the production side Makam found his home at Sushitech Records, where he has dropped audio gems like ‘New York Hustler’, ‘Deep Loving’ and ‘How Long is Now’ which were all highly acclaimed by Resident Advisor and Groove Magazine. De:Bug also rewarded ‘How Long Is Now’ with Vinyl of the Year in 2010. The EP 'What Ya Doin' (2012) on Amsterdams' very own Dekmantel label and his residency at one of the most respected clubs in the world, Trouw in Amsterdam, have fully established him as a leading producer and DJ. Makam is continually working on new projects like his own label 'Amulet'. All of this will be shared with the world very soon. Just keep your eyes open for Makam!

►SANDRIEN | Imprint | Trouw Amsterdam |

Although she’d probably never say it herself, Sandrien truly is one of Amsterdam’s finest techno DJ’s. As she enters her fourth consecutive year as resident at TrouwAmsterdam - an icon of the city’s nightlife - she has grown from local favourite into international ambassador for the prolific and globally appealing club. Still firmly rooted in her hometown scene and a frequent guest artist at events around The Netherlands, her reach now extends well beyond the Dutch border. Sandrien played intimate venues like Stubnitz, Doornroosje, Studio 80 and large events like Awakenings (Festival), Dance Valley, Innercity and Lowlands. At the infamous and now deceased Club 11 she and ran a notable night together called ‘MAD2’. Around 2008 Sandrien first put her hand to music production and, next to releasing on Shinedoe’s Intacto Records, also began performing her material live. Confident of her abilities, Trouw asked her in 2010 to launch and host Imprint: her own monthly underground techno night. Now, a few years down the road, their combined efforts have turned Imprint into a well-known brand that successfully attracts a broad and open-minded audience. Sandrien’s prolonged residency at Trouw is an undeniable affirmation of her talent and versatility. She is able to almost instantly get a cold crowd in the right mood and has proven on numerous occasions that she excels at both short, intense sets and long, building ones. In other words: few that have seen Sandrien play will doubt her strength at turning any night into a special one. Her extensive list of past gigs is a testament to that fact: it includes Trouw, Berghain, Nachtdigital, Free Your Mind Festival, 5 Days Off, Concrete and many more. With Trouw’s procurement of a 24-hour license, the chances of Sandrien every now and then shedding the loving confines of her residency, seem all the more likely. At the same time her position as an established international techno DJ is set to further solidify as she is eager to add more countries to her travel list; one that already includes Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Croatia and Germany. The fact that she brings fourteen years of performing experience to the table and honestly doesn’t get all the fuss about the techno scene arguably being a “men’s world”, only add to that prospect.

►SANDEEP | 300MPH | Nachtduik |

Hailing from Rotterdam, Sandeep has been a steady factor in the Dutch dance scene for quite a while. Carrying the title “Rotterdam’s best kept secret” for several years now, his style of music has never been easily caught in a couple of words but best described as a suprising and distinct mix between deephouse, minimal, house, groove and tech-house. Deep, groovy and uplifting with an energetic drive. His “my definition of Deep House’ series on Soundcloud has grown to become popular amongst many loyal followers. These mixes represent what his musical view stands for, deephouse in all its forms and shapes. Sandeep started dj-ing in 2003. With monthly nights in Las Palmas, Off Corso, Nighttown and Winkel van Sinkel his dj star rose and soon he was asked to play all around the Netherlands. Since then he has played with all the big names in the business, from Laurent Garnier to Derrick May and from Karotte to Basement Jaxx. And over the years he played at almost all major festivals and parties like Welcome to the Future, Free Your Mind Festival, Time Warp Holland, Cocoon NL, Rockit Open Air and Solar Weekend to name a few. The past years Sandeep was the programmer and resident dj of the legendary Catwalk Club in Rotterdam. Nowadays, next to playing many festivals, (beach)parties and clubnights, Sandeep is resident at Straf_Werk, Undertone, Whoosah Beachclub, Give Soul, Toffler and Claydrum events.
