dOP the Parisian trio of Clement Aichelbaum, Damien Vandesande and Jonathan Illel been on a tear since they burst upon the scene three years ago, riling dance floors with their strange, sexy, infectious brand of irreverently soulful house, and leaving writers scratching their heads at the same. The three musicians aren’t just great showmen – something their drunken live sets amply prove but also real musicians: before discovering house music, they played rock, jazz, hip-hop, reggae, classical, and African music, and they bring that wealth of knowledge to bear in their quest to turn dance music inside out. So while their music has plenty of slinky funk and dirty grind, it also explores far more diverse moods and grooves, from hot jazz to autumnal, orchestral folk!

Whether it is Opening, Primetime or Aftershow, Mathias’ intuition for the crowd and location, proves each time again that he lives for his profession. His music is both, distinctly ambitious and refreshing. Following the House music of the 90s, he works thoroughly to create new sound structures. For a while, he has been using different types of percussion elements. The result is an enjoyable rhythm, which communicates with its audience in a very particular way. In a playful approach, he creates an incredible repertoire of feelings that reproduces within the crowd. Mathias’ various sets include the following sound features: funky, freaky, dashing, dub, slamming, enriched by African and South American percussions.

Marc Leclair, better known by his stage name Akufen, is a Canadian electronic musician. His music is electronic music that is often described as minimal house, minimal techno, glitch, or microhouse.
Leclair's pseudonym comes from the French word for tinnitus (ringing of the ears), acouphène, and he has also gone under the pseudonyms Horror Inc., David Scott, Nefuka, and Anna Kaufen.

It's impossible to reduce Mayaan's productions and DJ sets to a single sound, but certain qualities prevail: a loping, swinging, hips-and-ass-friendly sense of the groove; a bubbling sense of funk; a keen sense of timbre and tone color, with a wooly low end and crystalline highs. It's also possible to discern a certain sense of humor, as well—nothing over the top, simply the occasional wink or sly grin as a riff steps out and takes its star turn. Like the best musicians, Maayan's work is all about communication. No wonder she understand the dance floor so well, making her a regular fixture at clubs and events like Tokyo's Colors Studio, Frankfurt's Robert Johnson, New York's Wolf + Lamb, Belgium's Decadance, Amsterdam's Mono-Club, Jerusalem's Pacotek, Switzerland's Hive Club and Cityfox @ Alta Börse, and many more—as well as her "space monkeys unite!" nights at Watergate and Arena Club in Berlin.
