Tijdelijke club DOKA maakt ADE programma bekend
7 september 2013
DOKA Amsterdam
tickets 10 euro
The biggest leading dance conference in Amsterdam is growing tremendously every year and New Dutch School is participating for the 2nd time with a showcase of their own roster combined with their friends from Harry Klein Booking.
Last year on top of the Amsterdam skyline on the 7th floor at Canvas and this year they make a move to the basement of the same building. The industrial ambience of the new spot brings out a new context for listening to the music we all so dearly love.

Avatism (Vakant / Dumb Unit / Milan)
Thomas did not buy his first vinyl record when he was 10 years old, nor was he born out of the love of two underground jazz musicians. Despite an extremely dull and standard childhood during which he barely learned to play the drums, his moody small-room music has been released on labels such as Vakant, Dumb-Unit and Haunt.
Much to everyone’s surprise, his recent releases, doom-laced live sets and collaborations have lead him to rise to similar popularity to artists with more interesting biographies.
Dario Zenker (Ilian Tape / Time To Express / Munich)
Dario Zenker has grown in the course of the time into an inherent part in matter of innovative, electronic music. The inhabitant of Munich is active in the scene for many years and a full blood musician. What confused us in the legendary and musically pedagogic„Green Room“ of Munichs Ultraschall years ago, the modern artist packs it up stimulatingly, unconventionally and brings it on the Mainfloor. Whether live played or mixed, Dario is feeling his audience.
Cesare vs Disorder
(Vakant / Dumb Unit / Serialism / Stock 5 / Clink / Berlin)
Over the past few years, Italian producer Cesare Marchese aka Cesare vs Disorder’s (also Queen Atom/CEZ/Sire Cactus) unique productions and performances behind the decks have gained him recognition within the underground house and techno worldwide community.
Jeremy P. Caulfield (Dumb Unit / Berlin)
At a time when so much techno feels like endless variations on a played-out theme, it’s heartening to know that there are still a handful of artists, labels and DJs who can combine experience, skill and for- ward-looking ideals in style. Step forward Jeremy P. Caulfield, who amply ticks all of the above boxes.
Frank Haag (Serialism / Get the Curse / New Dutch School / Amsterdam)
Typical for Frank Haag’s style is an always darkish and substant approach. His music comes with a deep cinematic touch and a story, often combining the organic with the sonical abstract. Studying Sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, he is experimenting with analog and digital studio techniques by making mutiple channels compositions. As Frank Hagemans, his real name, focus lies on concrete music, also seen as sound art.
Ohrwert LIVE (Field records / Millions of Moments / New Dutch School / Arnhem)
With over 100 releases, appearances, remixes and collaborations on almost every imaginable form of media, Arjen Schat aka Ohrwert has been active in the field of electronic music since the late 90s. Spinning vinyl since 1999 and releasing music since 2002, Arjen is an experienced performer with his hallmark 3-deck dj sets and impressive live sets. His much acclaimed “Reduct” series made him stand out as one of the top dub techno producers in the Netherlands and he’s still standing strong with a steady stream of releases and remixes on labels throughout the world.
William Köster (New Dutch School / Arnhem)
With his New Dutch School collective he can be held responsible for numerous raves on undisclosed places throughout the Netherlands. Freedom in every aspect is the vibe they are seeking to create.
