SlapFunk started out as party organization about five years ago. Just a bunch of friends from Utrecht, scouring the city for suitable locations where they would throw smashing raves. Combining house, techno and a great atmosphere, these parties were an instant success and SlapFunk rapidly grew a solid fanbase.
Two years after the first party, the boys took it to another level with their first release, soon followed by a second and a third one and so one. Upcoming talents like Malin Génie, Samuel Deep en Anil Aras and Larry de Kat are responsible for these EP's. Pressed on vinyl, 'cause SlapFunk is allabout the black gold and Raw House Music.
All in all, SlapFunk submerged from the underground but never forgot where it came from. It's more of a movement than a host or label, and the people behind it work hard to steer this movement in the right direction.

Verscholen tussen de bergen van het Bulgaarse hoogland, omringd door woeste bossen en blauwe luchten, ligt de prachtige Troyan-vallei. Deze pittoreske omgeving zal van woensdag 22 tot en met zondag 26 juli het decor zijn van IZTOK Festival: een nieuw Nederlands initiatief, dat garant staat voor vijf dagen feest, avontuur, vrienden, vakantie en bovenal vrijheid.

Vanavond maakt Toffler zich op voor een Slapfunk Label Night. Het Utrechts label trekt ten strijde met een mix van gevestigde orde en aanstormend talent in de vorm van Samuel Deep, U Know The Drill en Julian Alexander!
Format met Hollandse techno avond in AIR

Met alle aandacht die tijdens het Amsterdam Dance Event uitgaat naar internationale artiesten, zou je bijna vergeten wat voor moois de Nederlandse technoscene te bieden heeft. Daarom is de line-up van Format, de maandelijkse techno-avond in Air, aankomende vrijdag gevuld met de techno-smaakmakers van de lage landen.
Voor een goed dancefeest hoef je dit jaar niet de trein te pakken naar Amsterdam. En dat komt goed uit nu alle grote evenementen uit het centrum van onze hoofdstad zijn verbannen. 2
