Episodes & On Equal Terms @ 013

Starting the 21st of February, "Episodes" and "On Equal Terms" will join forces and organise a party in 013, Tilburg. They proudly present: DJ's Joel Mull, Estroe and Dimy.

On Equal Terms: Founded by Dj's Dimy and Estroe


It's all in the name; Dimy and Esther have been friends for several years, a friendship based very strongly on the same love for music; most electronic, in all it's forms.Dimi has been organising (illegal) parties in the past years (and been playing on them!!), Esther is known because of her performances on Awakenings, and her residency in Mazzo. They were both feeling a gap in the dancescene; parties nowadays are very expensive, too big and the techno being played gets harder and faster all the time. So they decided to try to do it their way; wich means; intimate parties for musiclovers and friends, inexpensive and where all kind of electronic music will be played, from Deephouse/Electro/IDM till Minimal Techno, Detroit Techno.

Future plans will be to start a recordlabel in 2003, where one could find music of Jeroen (Search), other friends, and from Esther herself. Episodes was founded in august 2002 by two friends as a reaction to the big, unpersonal, boring parties given by the big organizations in Holland. This Tilburg-based organisation is a multi-dimensional organisation whom makes sure that there is a total synergy between the people, the music, the decoration and the atmosphere. Episodes makes sure that the line-up for an evening is new, fresh and trilling. Not being restricted to one type of music makes it possible for this organisation to program all types of electronic music. Episodes is still in it for the people and the music,giving the new talents and unknown dj’s and live acts the oppurtunty to show their talent on a higher level.

On the 5th of October, Episodes had his first party in 013 Tilburg together with Utrecht-based organisation Teknation. The evening saw the first appearance in Holland of Alex Bau and Sven Dedek a.k.a Basic Implant, the founders of the German label Toneman Records. The philosophy of Episodes was one where they could find themselves completely in, so the decision to work together was quickly made, wich resulted in this first party. Both organisations are willing to work together with any others who are in it for the love of music and not the money. So if you are interested to work together, if you would like to play, if you know, or even offer a good location, please let us know. In the mean time, we hope to see you on the 21st, in 013 in Tilburg



Estroe: Esther Roozendaal

Started playing records in 97, when she became resident on the Concept parties, organised by Dance Valley, in de Melkweg.After that, things went fast, she played on almost every main party in Holland, and has been invited abroad regularly.(where exactly you can see on her website: www.estroe.com). In 2000 she became resident in de Mazzo; together with Dj's Cellie, Carlijn and Steve Rachmad, with their Off the Record parties. In 2001 she organised her own Mazzo wednesday evening; "Set Off". A night where new talent was given the chance to prove themselves. In 2002 together with Steffi (KLakson) she tried a new concept on the wednesdays, under the name;"Explicit Sounds".Low tempo electronic music was being played.But unfortunately Mazzo decided that they would stop with all electronic music in August 2002 Esther focussed on other bookings and producing, and is now taking the challenge to organise parties with Dimy and Episodes.

Dimy: Dimtry van Duynhoven

Dimy started in the same year:'97.He started playing in Funky Bizznizz (Eindhoven) and on some other parties.He started giving his own small afterparties in 98, and played in Doornroosje and Simplon as well. Later in 99/2000 he decided to organsie more undergroundparties for friends and musiclovers with dj's as: Joel Mull, Jeroen Search, Seutek, Steve Rachmad, Steffi and Estroe.Dimi will be continuing these parties, but will also focus on the legal ones like On Equal Terms.
