vanwege de toename van ontevreden early - liefhebbers,en om het earlyhardcore/oldskool forum een beetje schoon te houden.

hier kan alles geplaatst worden,van verschrikkelijk voorspelbare hitjesparade`s tot het gevloek en getier als je voor de zoveelste x een xtc love raveworld of bad dreams voorbij heb horen komen.

er zal nog veel meer zijn waar over geklaagd moet worden dus barst maar los.

en nou maar hopen dat de dj`s die hier te spraken komen er wat mee doen.8)

De bedragen die dj’s krijgen lopen nogal uiteen. Gizmo krijgt bijvoorbeeld 900 euro, terwijl Paul rond de 9500 euro zit. Hoe zit dat?
‘Paul is ook ooit klein begonnen, hè. Eerst draaide hij voor 1500 euro, dat werd steeds meer, en nu zit hij inderdaad tussen de 7000 en 9500 euro. Dat is een logisch gevolg van z’n populariteit. Als hij een zaal helemaal vol trekt, dan is het niet meer dan fair dat hij daar ook goed voor beloond wordt. Kijk, als je Gizmo in Ahoy zet, met alle respect… ik weet niet of dat uitverkocht raakt. Zet je Paul daar neer, dan is de kans een stuk groter. Het is geen garantie, maar wel een stuk waarschijnlijker.’

Het schijnt dat de jongens van het Dreamteam met z’n drieën in totaal maar tussen de 1500 en 2500 euro krijgen op Thunderdome. Dat klinkt weinig voor zo'n groot feest.
‘Dat is wel gangbaar. Alles is duurder geworden, behalve dit, lijkt het soms. Sommige artiesten vragen inmiddels wel meer, maar je moet ook reëel blijven. Als je jezelf uit de markt prijst, zegt een organisator gewoon: “Leuk als je komt, maar we vinden het net iets te veel. Als je voor minder wil komen, ben je welkom. Anders boeken we iemand anders.” Het draait uiteindelijk allemaal om populariteit. Als jij 2000 euro vraagt, moet je dat kunnen verantwoorden. Dan moet je ook publiek trekken dat die prijs rechtvaardigt.’

DJ Dano is a true legend of the global Gabber and Hardcore scene and one of the pioneers who helped shape the sound of the early Dutch hardcore movement. Rising from the Netherlands in the 1990s, he played a crucial role in bringing raw, high-energy gabber to massive raves and international stages worldwide.

Known for his uncompromising style, relentless drive, and masterful crowd control, DJ Dano represents the pure essence of classic gabber: hard, fast, and unapologetically intense. As a member of the iconic Dreamteam and a key figure of the Amsterdam hardcore sound, he helped define an era that still influences hardcore culture today.

His sets are a powerful journey through the golden age of hardcore—pounding kicks, dark atmospheres, and nonstop intensity that ignite dancefloors wherever he plays. Decades later, DJ Dano remains a respected and influential force, delivering authentic gabber with the same passion and energy as ever.

We were incredibly proud and grateful we had DJ Dano in Berlin in December 2025, where he delivered an absolutely unforgettable live set at our event. Experiencing this piece of hardcore history behind the decks was a true honor.
