"The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Prayers will be neglected, carnal desires will be pursued, transgressors will become leaders, it will not be possible to distinguish the faithful from the false, telling lies will become desirable, payment of Zakah will be taken as a burden, the believer will be deemed the most disgraceful and he will be pained at seeing evils all around and his heart will melt as salt in water but he will not be able to say anything. Rain will do no good; it will fall out of season. Males will commit adultery with males, and females with females. Women will dominate. The offspring will disobey their parents, friend will treat his friend badly, sins will be taken lightly. Mosques will have external decorations and beauty and there will be worshippers too but there will be hypocrisy and mutual enmity in their hearts. He will protect and defend himself with resources of science and supreme knowledge. His control over these resources will be complete. He will know how supreme they are and how carefully they will have to be used. His mind will be free from desires of bringing harm and injury to humanity. Such a knowledge to him will belike the property which was wrongly possessed by others and for which he was waiting for the permission to repossess and use. He, in the beginning, will be a poor stranger unknown and uncared for, and Islam then will be in the helpless and hopeless plight of an exhausted camel who has laid down its head and is wagging its tail. With such a start he will establish an empire of God in this world. He will be the final demonstration and proof of God's merciful wish to acquaint man with the right ways of life.
"Moreover, he said: Verily, a time will come upon you wherein nothing will be more concealed than the truth, nothing more manifest than falsehood, and nothing more manifest than falsehood, and nothing more than lies about God and his Apostle. The people of that time will possess no commodity more difficult to sell than the Book when it is correctly recited, or one more in demand when its passages are misinterpreted. There will be throughout all lands nothing more detested than good deeds, or more renowned than evil ones. The reciters of the Qura'an will have cast it away, and those who memorize it will have deliberately erased it from their minds. Abu Sa'id said that the Prophet (SAWS) said: "The Hour will not come until the time when a man will leave his home, and his shoes or whip or stick will tell what is happening to his family."
According to another version of this report, the Prophet (saws) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, the Hour will not come until wild animals talk to men, and a man speaks to his whip or his shoe, and his thigh will tell him about what happened to his family after he left."
This is a clear prophecy about the modern invention of cellphones. The mention by Abu Hurairah of "whips like the tail of an ox" may be an attempt to describe the antennas on cellphones, radios, cars, and televisions.
Mohammed (PBUH) also mentioned these minor signs, which are evident today: Knowledge will disappear and ignorance will appear, even though books will be widesread... Adultery and fornication will be prevalent, performed in public, and there will be new sexual diseases and many bastard children... De Dajjal zou een rivier brengen en een vuur.
Wie in de rivier springt eindigt in de hel, en wie in het vuur springt eindigt in het paradijs.
Schijn bedriegt, dat is de essentie.
Wat nu het aller lelijkste lijkt, zo gemaakt door slechte mensen, is eigenlijk de rivier die naar het paradijs gaat.
Maar mensen zien het als een vuur.
De Profeet(saw) zei dat Islam begon als een vreemd fenomeen en zou eindigen als een vreemd fenomeen, en dat vasthouden aan de religie tijdens die laatste periode zou zijn als een hete kolen vasthouden.
Wat een pessimisme! Als je het mij vraagt leven we nu gewoon in de beste tijd ooit, de meest eerlijke ooit en gaat het alleen nog maar beter worden. The paradise is comming!! *0* We rekenen steeds meer af met oude, negatieve krachten uit het verleden. Nu alleen de politiek nog waar een nieuw bewustzijn moet gaan doorbreken, en we leven in het paradijs, met de bloemetjes en de bijtjes, huppelend door het heidelandschap.

Als je het mij vraagt leven we nu gewoon in de beste tijd ooit, de meest eerlijke ooit en gaat het alleen nog maar beter worden.
Israel/Gaza, ISIS, Conflicten in Afrika, Noord-Korea, Drugs kartels en landelijke corruptie in Mexico, Oekraïne, Syrië, Intolerantie en bloedige geweld tegen religieuze minderheden in Pakistan (recentlijk 8 huizen met mensen verbrand waaronder kinderen).
Daarnaast, de vervuiling van het milieu, kappen van de bossen, rampen.
Dat zijn nog maar enkele issues op wereldlijke schaal, wat te denken van alle issues op sociale en individuele schaal. Als gevolg van materiële stress, suicide/ depressie, scheiding, identiteitscrisis, (seksueel) misbruik etc. etc.
Vergeleken met het verleden leven we misschien in een wat meer gestructureerdere wereld maar om te denken dat we in de beste tijd ooit leven is nog steeds een naïeve gedachte.
Zoals in de Vedas werd voorspeld zal er een tijdperk aanbreken dat werd aangeduid als de Kali Yugh (de Donkere periode, periode der duisternis). Het is aan ons mensen of we deze periode het hoofd kunnen bieden door spirituele reflectie, globale eenheid en geestelijke verlichting maar bovenal het geloof en praktisering van het concept van absolute rechtvaardigheid in de wereld.
Iets wat (totaal) lijkt te ontbreken in de wereld atm.

Nou, dit zie ik nog even niet gebeuren hoor, Xaeed. En wanneer en door wie is dat stuk geschreven trouwens? Valt me op dat er enorm veel moderne woorden in staan die in de tijd van Mo nog niet bestonden. Krijg daarom een beetje het idee van een in retroperspectief geschreven stuk met de kennis van nu, waar de schrijver heerlijk op aan het trippen is in een bevlogen pen-moment.

Islam is echt de ultieme belichaming van de Hel & Verdoemenis religie.
Behoorlijk pessimistische worldview ook. Iets wat (totaal) lijkt te ontbreken in de wereld atm.
Tja, maar ik vind toch ook altijd altijd een beetje: waar zoom je precies op in? Welk deel geef de voorkeur om naar te kijken? Kijk, als je je visie op de mensheid laat afhangen van wat de maffia dagelijks allemaal uitvreet, tja, dan lijkt het een rot verdorven zooitje natuurlijk. We krijgen dagelijks via het nieuws allerlei ellende voorgespiegeld; goed nieuws, is geen nieuws, want 'goed' is in principe normaal, en dus niet bijzonder. Wij mensen zijn gewoon geneigd meer aandacht te schenken aan het slechte, omdat het afwijkt van de norm, wat meestal 'goed' is. 'Goed' is vanzelfsprekend. De meeste mensen zijn 'goed', waardoor de slechten afwijken en dus bijzonder en meer in het oogspringend zijn. Wat weer voortkomt uit onze drang om het slechte recht te zetten en 'goed' te maken; oplossen. Het is maar net waar je op inzoomt.
Tja, maar ik vind toch ook altijd altijd een beetje: waar zoom je precies op in?
Ik zoom nergens op in maar kenschets de realiteit van de wereld met enkele van haar spelende conflicten.
We krijgen dagelijks via het nieuws allerlei ellende voorgespiegeld; goed nieuws, is geen nieuws, want 'goed' is in principe normaal, en dus niet bijzonder.
Het is inderdaad zorgwekkender dat er in Gaza mensen overhoop worden geschoten, mensen door een epidemie sterven en wat voor schade rampen hebben aangericht dan het nieuws dat de kat van mevrouw Jansen is gered uit de boom.
In dat opzicht vervult de nieuws haar functie prima, met uitzondering van de brainwashing van de Westerse publiek waaronder met name in Nederland (wat weer een andere discussie is).
Wij mensen zijn gewoon geneigd meer aandacht te schenken aan het slechte, omdat het afwijkt van de norm, wat meestal 'goed' is. 'Goed' is vanzelfsprekend. De meeste mensen zijn 'goed', waardoor de slechten afwijken en dus bijzonder en meer in het oogspringend zijn. Wat weer voortkomt uit onze drang om het slechte recht te zetten en 'goed' te maken; oplossen.
Wat rationeel logisch is als je de basis van menselijke moraliteit in achting neemt (welke in mijn geval de Koran en mijn geloof vormt).
Hoewel ik geen macht heb om globale conflicten en situaties op te lossen wil ik juist de conflicten en situaties van mijn nabije omgeving oplossen en een sfeer van positiviteit en harmonie crëeren op basis van de morele principes die mijn geloof rijk is en mijn geest heeft gevormd en van haar noodzakelijke stevigheid, identiteit en houvast heeft voorzien.
Het individu/gezin is immers de hoeksteen van de samenleving.

Elsewhere, Abu Hurairah again said: "I heard the Prophet say, If you live for a while, you will see people go out under the wrath of Allah and come back under His curse, and they will have in their hands whips like the tail of an ox."
Abu Sa'id said that the Prophet (SAWS) said: "The Hour will not come until the time when a man will leave his home, and his shoes or whip or stick will tell what is happening to his family."
According to another version of this report, the Prophet (saws) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, the Hour will not come until wild animals talk to men, and a man speaks to his whip or his shoe, and his thigh will tell him about what happened to his family after he left."

Valt best mee, er zijn 'rare' voorspellingen, zoals dat mensen in dieren zouden veranderen, of dat wilde dieren zouden kunnen spreken.
Maar ad andere kant was het ook ontzettend absurd voor eeuwen en eeuwen om te lezen dat mensen tegen die tijd enorme afstanden in korte perioden konden overbruggen.
Of dat men tussen de lucht en de aarde zou springen om te reizen, of dat je op een grote afstand van huis alsnog met je gezin zou kunnen praten, of dat iemand iets zou zeggen en dat de hele wereld het kon horen.
Klinkt allemaal als hocus pocus onzin, totdat je in de moderne tijd aankomt en dat soort uitspraken opeens helemaal zo raar niet meer zijn.
Dus het kan goed zijn dat je voorspellingen zou kunnen tegenkomen waarbij je echt zoiets hebt van ooh jaa dat zal wel.. maar dat het over 50 jaar opeens realiteit wordt.

Tja... tis een kwestie van het stellen van hoge eisen aan het bewijsmateriaal. Sommige van die voorspellingen zijn inderdaad volledig vreemd voor de toenmalige samenleving en redelijk gedurfd (Mo zal wel vaak voor gek verklaard zijn)... maar toch, het blijft bij formuleringen waarbij je zelf nog eea moet invullen.
Neem nou die voorspelling over de man z'n dijbeen dat zijn familie laat weten waar ie is. Inderdaad een curieuze uitspraak en met een beetje fantasie te koppelen aan telefoons... maar als het nou een gedetailleerde spec zou zijn van een Samsung Galaxy S4, compleet met de hoogst haalbare highscore in Angry Birds - dan zou ik meteen m'n baard laten staan.
Is goddelijke inspiratie echt de enige mogelijke verklaring voor deze voorspellingen? Was Mohammed niet "slechts" een ongeëvenaard visionair, die dit gebruikte om de indruk te wekken dat hij goddelijk geïnspireerd was? Ten eerste bestonden die voorwerpen toen niet, er was niet eens plastic, men had geen flauw benul van wat elektriciteit was, dus als je tegen die mensen iets vertelt over de toekomst..
Dan zou je dat moeten doen in hun taal, je gaat dan geen onbekende woorden gebruiken voor voorwerpen die niet eens bestaan
Het is in het Arabisch trouwens heel normaal om een ding te benoemen ad hand van waar het zich bevindt.
Dus je kunt zeggen dat je hoofd grijs geworden is, terwijl je je haar bedoelt, of dat je via je dij met je familie sprak, terwijl je niet écht je dij bedoelt.. tis gewoon een plek waar men dat voorwerp vaak plaatst.
En ipv het voorwerp te beschrijven kun je dan zeggen dat je via je dij praat.
Als hij(saw) zegt dat men op een witte ezel van ijzer zou springen tussen de lucht en de aarde, sneller dan de wind, en dat de oren enkele meters uitgestrekt waren..
Denk je nou echt dat hij dat letterlijk bedoelde?
Of beschreef hij iets aan zijn volk (in hun eigen taal), dat volkomen vreemd voor ze was, maar op zo'n manier dat men het 1400 jaar later wel direct zou begrijpen?
Want iedereen nu snapt meteen wat die vliegende ezel is, ik denk dat je zoiets moeilijk kunt ontkennen.
Of je zou moeten willen volhouden dat hij(saw) maar wat aan het verzinnen was en toevallig iets zei wat heel erg lijkt op een vliegtuig.

Dat is deel van het profeetschap en het enige deel van profeetschap wat niet uit de wereld verdween na Mohammed(saw).
Dus men kan nu nog steeds voorspellende dromen hebben oid, en dat zal altijd van God komen.
Je zou iets kunnen voorspellen, als in een berekende inschatting, sommige mensen zullen idd het inzicht hebben om zoiets te kunnen doen.
Maar dat iemand 1400 jaar geleden zou voorspellen dat ijzer zou gaan spreken, of dat er nieuwe, dodelijke, seksueel overdraagbare ziektes zouden verschijnen, enz. lijkt me btje naief (om te geloven).
Aan de andere kant heb ik het hier niet echt tegen gelovige mensen, alleen Oni gelooft in God, en de rest zie ik niet echt als gelovigen om eerlijk te zijn.
Als je in God zou geloven zou je hier natuurlijk veel minder 'moeite' mee hebben.

Dat waren die voorspelling sowieso al. Mijn punt is dat als het doel is om mensen te overtuigen, kan je dat veel beter doen door exact en specifiek te zijn in je voorspellingen. Dan zou je mij overtuigd hebben.
Want iedereen nu snapt meteen wat die vliegende ezel is, ik denk dat je zoiets moeilijk kunt ontkennen.

Aan de andere kant heb ik het hier niet echt tegen gelovige mensen, alleen Oni gelooft in God, en de rest zie ik niet echt als gelovigen om eerlijk te zijn.

Een voorspelling die nog niet uitgekomen is ligt nog in de toekomst en dat is idd lastig om te ontkrachten (als dat je doel is).
Dit zijn echter geen argumenten of wetenschappelijke theorieën, het betreft uitspraken over de toekomst, die wel of niet uitgekomen zijn, of nog moeten plaatsvinden.
Hij voorspelde zoveel, hij wist wanneer mensen zouden sterven, hoe ze zouden sterven, wat er met het leiderschap lang na hem zou gebeuren, wat de natuur ging doen, enzovoort, enzovoort.
Veel van wat hij(saw) zei is al lang uitgekomen.
Dus als je het allemaal wilt verwerpen, dan is er een hele lijst voorspellingen die waar bleken te zijn, waar je een excuus voor moet gaan zoeken (toevallige gok, tijdreiziger, wat dan ook).
Je richten op die enkelen die nog niet plaatsgevonden hebben en de rest (wat eraan vooraf ging) negeren, is niet echt de goede manier om hiermee om te gaan denk ik.
