Former Descent - The State Of In-Between

After releasing the debut 12inch "My life in the box of ghosts" on Shipwrec Records and recording a track for the soundtrack of the movie "Exploitation" by director Edwin Brienen, Former Descent is back with his first digital EP. "The State Of In-Between" contains 5 personal ambient tracks all recorded with a Yamaha Tenori-On between the 24th and the 28th of January 2013.

Deze video kwam ik deze week tegen maar ik heb geen flauw idee wie de muzikant is maar ik vind het wel erg mooi ! Doet me erg denken aan de tijd dat ik xtc gebruikte en erg gelukkig was in een relatie,,

DJ Holmen is een obscure dj binnen het veld van noise, ambient, breakcore en flashcore. Zijn specialiteit is het neerzetten van zelden gehoorde sferen, met platen die bijna niemand ooit gehoord heeft. Underground feesten waar hij heeft gestaan zijn onder anderen Fields Of Breakcore, No Commercial Sounds, Dawn Of A Dark Era, Smackdown en Optimus Prime Noisefest. Voor The Art Of Breakcore 2 had hij op verzoek een speciale set voorbereid, opbouwend van mooie ambient naar de duisternis. Een reis van de vroege wereld van licht en harmonie naar de industriele revolutie en de toekomst van 1984 (Orwell).

This compilation is created as a companion to the event A Gathering Of Post-everything... an event in two parts in the city of Berlin on the 28th of June 2014. The artists on this compilation are all part of the afternoon performance session. The posters for this event can be found here...

Some familiar names of the ET family are featured on this compilation but also some new ones... the music has links to a wide range of traditions like minimal music, techno, noise and electro-acoustic music... but all is done with an open mind... with the aim to create something that goes beyond the definitions and clichés of these styles...

Most copies of the tapes were given away for free to the audience at the event...

In Juni is er een album uitgekomen op tympanik van "Tangent". Toen ik op discogs keek en de artiest aanklikte bleken het 2 producers te zijn, waarvan ik 1 naam ken, da's de zanger van een (grote) nederlandse deathmetalband :-D.



& hier grunt hij in :-D ( dikke band overigens! )

Disavowed, dik hoor. Ik heb die tangent ff in een spotify playlist gezet. NOg meer mensen hier spotify trouwens? Ik vind het de beste uitvinding sinds anticonceptie.
