Evil Activities, born as Kelly van Soest in 1979, came in contact with hardcore music in the early 90's and has 'Dedicated' his life to it ever since. There was no doubt about the pure talent and truly amazing musical skills of this man when he was discovered in 1998. After his first releases in 1999 the fame came fast. Not remarkable, due to the fact that Evil Activities was one of the very few new artists releasing tracks on Rotterdam Records and Neophyte Records. A decision nobody has ever regret in the following years.
Inspiration has never turned its back on DJ Evil Activities. For over 9 years, almost every release became an instant hit. With absolute determination, this man is gradually setting the accepted minimum standards higher in order to reach his goal. "I'm very critical at my music. What I want is to create some sort of vibe combining energy, skills and a progressive point of view to endeavour a perfect end mix and trying to push the capabilities of my studio to the limit in order to achieve a maximum response of the audience."
Kelly's records have a very distinctive element; raw and pure energy , able to get any crowd moving. This is what makes him very popular not only as a dj, but as a production partner as well. Collaborating with some leading artists resulted in enormous hits like 'Be Quiet' and 'Never fall asleep' (together with DJ Panic), 'Alles Kapot' and 'One Of These Days' (together with Neophyte) and 'Under Control' and 'A Way Of Life' (as 'Masters of Ceremony', also together with Neophyte ). "Collaborating can bring more life to a track, because someone else might have a different view on a certain idea. If there is 'musical chemistry' you can enhance your capabilities to an extraordinary level. I just love that "Whoah" moment if you know what i mean."
Kelly also delivered some stunning remixes for top of the bill artists such as Nosferatu, DJ Paul, Tha Playah and Jappo & Lancinhouse. As you can probably guess Evil Activities practically lives in his studio. His first album 'Dedicated' can only be seen as the finishing touch to a whirlwind start of his career. It was received exceptionally well by everyone so watch out for his second album, which will be released in the summer of 2007. On this album there will be 15 brand new tracks, including collaboration projects with some well known names... It truly is an album to look forward to: 'New Evil beats coming'! There is no denying Evil Activities is one of the biggest dj's in the hardcore scene today. With the perfect combination of skills and energy and a great interaction with his audience, this guy goes totally mad behind the decks, leaving everbody in a:
"STATE OF EMERGENCY"
