The most attentive of you already noticed his songs included on the recent DefQon compilation mixed by DJ Promo. Omi is the newest member of the TTM family and comes all the way from Spain. He brings us his melancholic and hard sound to make our varied family of artists more complete! Learn all about this new talent in the interview beneath.
Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
"My name Juan Omar Ruiz, 22 years old and I live in Alicante (Spain). I have always loved music and creating it myself that's why I started to create electronic music in 2004. I am currently studying at the University of Alicante, Image and Sound Engineering."
How did you get in contact with TTM and become part of the label?
"I sent my demo to TTM, hoping Promo would listen to it. Fortunately he responded positive and told me he liked it!
The next step was sending him three additional demo's. He liked all of them so that's how easy it started."
What words define your music?
"Melancholy, improvisation, contrasts, hard."
What are your plans regarding events in the future?
"I have so many ideas in mind for music projects! I would like to finally produce my songs so that they can reach lots of people because i think they will definitely will enjoy to here something different."
What makes you fit in with the style of TTM?
"I think the search for new sounds, new styles. The style of TTM is hard, just like my style, because of their free rein to the imagination and creativity, not guided by an established standard."

"I really want to thank my friends for their support. I also want to thank Sebastian for giving me this great opportunity."
