Hindsight, one of the UK's longest serving European Hard Trance & Hardstyle events celebrate 11 years of rockin parties down
south with this double CD crammed full of the biggest classics & speaker shaking anthems!.
Mixed by the legendary mentalist Mark EG & long standing Hindsight resident Nick The Kid this double CD album will be hitting the
shops in the spring & contains no less than 49 huge tracks from the likes of: Showtek, Lisa Lashes, Luca Antolini, Yoji
Biomehanika, DJ Wag, Scot Project, Dutchmaster, Kamui, K90, Andrea Montorsi, FJ Project, S.H.O.K.K & Many Many
more!!
To coincide with this very special album, Mark EG & Nick The Kid will also be embarking on a nationwide tour to promote everything
that has been good about Hindsight from 1999 right up to the present day. Copies of the album will be available at all tour dates for
just £5 and the album will also be available in both Digital & Hard Copy formats from all leading stockists of Underground Dance
Music including: Trackitdown, HardBeatStore, German Trance, Catapult, Juno to name but a few.
There will also be a DJ bundle featuring 15 killer (and full length) tracks from the album that will be released at a later date. Some of
these are Digital Exclusives also so keep an eye out for them .

HINDSIGHT - SLEEVE NOTES
MARK EG
Rewind ten years and it was the turn of the new century. Playstation 2 had just been launched, some blundering fools tried to
steal a huge diamond from the Millennium Dome and oh, a new organization called Hindsight started to put on parties in
the South West of England. Except these were no ordinary parties. Building on the thriving (but still incredibly underground)
German hard trance movement of the time, promoter Nick The Kid was pushing the kind of musical ideals that were so
ahead of their time you couldn't help but want to get involved.
After playing my first ever set for him in Exeter, Nick and I hit it off immediately, it was refreshing to find someone so
passionate about the same kind of music as I had been involved with since the early 90's. The following years are a mixture of
unparalleled elation, debauchery, belly-laughs and blur, as time and time again people came from miles around to witness the
special moments that made Hindsight the unique family it was, and still is.
Although the music has moved on, to this day the same philosophy still stands, the advancement of sound from around the
globe is given top priority. And this is what I've tried to reflect in my own mix on this very album, taking the best of what has
been and giving it a new, forward thinking twist, something that I always try to do in various ways in every set I play, no matter
what style it is (or even isn't!)
I'm incredibly proud and honoured to be chosen by Hindsight to represent what the last eleven years have meant to this
organization - from those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to the real people on the dance floor. So my friends, turn the
lights down low, put the gains to maximum and become a part of something very special indeed. the wonderful world of
Hindsight.
NICK THE KID
In November 1999, I hosted the first Hindsight event, held at the infamous 'St George's Hall' in Exeter. Early events reflected my
passion for oldskool rave, hence the name ‘Hindsight’: - ‘to look back’. In retrospect, I didn’t realise at the time how dramatically
that first event would change the next 11 years of my life, and how the brand would change direction and evolve into what it is today.
At the time, the UK was flooded in a wave of Hard House euphoria, but for me, it was the more uplifting European sounds that got
me excited. In particular, talented producers from Germany such as Andreas Kraemer, Thomas Pogadl & Scot Project who were
massive influences in those early days. I desperately wanted to bring this fresh, forward thinking music to the South West in the form
of a regular club night; at that point Hindsight stopped looking back, and looked to the future.
Whilst at school I listened to many mix tapes, and came across one by Mark EG! After hearing that first set, I was hooked immediately.
The energy & the euphoria of his tunes was incredible, and much different to what most other DJ's were playing at bigger UK raves
around that time, His solo, and back to back sets with M-Zone became the stuff of legend.
It took a few years before I caught Mark live. When I first witnessed the hyper spiky-haired northerner, he was moving faster than the
strobe light, eating microphones and possessing more enthusiasm for the music he was playing than anyone I'd ever seen before. I
knew there and then that I wanted Mark to be a part of Hindsight, and over the years we have become good friends, and shared some
incredible times (and awesome parties).
In the last 11 years, Mark has appeared at our events more times than any other guest DJ, so it made complete sense that he assist me
in mixing this very special album for Hindsight.
The mixes reflect the last decade of our events so perfectly, so I can't thank him enough for getting involved with the project….(Even if
we did have to wait 2 years cause Mark was busy practising his dance moves in front of a mirror, & trying out new extra-hold gels!)
For my Mix, I have chosen some of the biggest anthems that have raised the roof at our Hindsight Events over the years; I only wish
an 80min CD could hold them all. Also included are classic tracks that bring back so many great personal memories for me, and some
current tracks that have rocked my sets up & down the country in more recent times.
It has taken us over two years of hard work to source the tracks for this album, and I really hope you enjoy listening to this compilation
as much as I enjoyed mixing it.
There is a video being made and Radio 1's Kutski will be providing the voice-over. There will be filming at Raw in London on April
2nd 2011, and the following week it will be made live.
