Hierbij wou ik even mijn genot van dit moment met het pf publiek delen (niet dat dat het beste publiek is voor wat ik te zeggen heb, maar ik moet t gewoon ff kwijt)

Na jaren van gabber, terror, speedcore, industrial , tekno, darkcore enzovoorts ben ik de laatste tijd helemaal verknocht aan Breakcore. Ik vond t al langer vette muziek maar nu ik er in ben gedoken kan ik er niet meer van los komen. Moet ook zeggen dat na al die vette breaks en mega ingewikkelde maar super fantastische muziek de monotone beats van standaard house me iedere keer weer zo ongeloofelijk saai over komt.

De muziek van Venetian Snares, Doormouse, Shitmat, Hecate, Bong-Ra, Speedranch, FFF, en nog veel meer andere grootheden is zo lekker en vooral zo verfrissend origineel
daar kunnen veel vooraanstaande dj's in t house wereldje wat van leren

en dan met name van de originaliteit dus
want dat is zeker iets wat me vaak dwarzit in house muziek
dat producers te veel muziek maken die op vorige releases lijken en ook nog vaak op releases van andere producers

maar zelfs binnen nummers zelf zit vaak zo weinig variatie dat het weinig uitmaakt of je de eerste of de 5de minuut luistert van een nummer het is zo vaak 1 pot nat

Hierbij moet ik wel zeggen dat t niet voor alle producers geldt, maar zeker wel voor alle losers met dollartekens in hun ogen
de mainstream hardcore van tegenwoordig is echt bedroevend
en over nog commercielere muziekstromingen als hardstyle begin ik niet eens
pure zieligheid

1 ding wil ik er wel aan toevoegen
dit is geen reclame uiting
het allerlaatste wat ik wil is massa's pf'ers die ineens stoer gaan roepen dat ze breakcore ook zo vet vinden en de underground sfeer van de echte feesten verpesten met hun kuddegedrag.

CHRISTOPH DE BABALON (http://www.christophdebabalon.com/) is known for tripping beats, dark wide spaces and eternal melancholy.
He released his first record in 1994 on Hamburg's cult-label Fischkopf. Right after his debut he began working with ALEC EMPIRE's Digital Hardcore Recordings (DHR) where he, besides a couple of other records released his most important work: the legendary album 'If You're Into It, I'm Out Of It'.
Also THOM YORKE of Radiohead is a big fan of Christoph de Babalon's music and invited him on a tour through southern europe in 2001.
As co-founder of the music label Cross Fade Enter Tainment [CFET] he has been putting out records by influential electronic hardcore producers such as Somatic Responses, DJ Scud, Zbigniew Karkowski and Merzbow (to name but a few) since 1994.
In order to learn more effective production techniques and gather new experience, he began working on music for theatre productions, dance performances and film. In June 2008 he hooked up with Radiohead again to play the "Daydream" Festival in Barcelona and introduce ,,Scylla & Charybdis" (released in 2008 on CFET) to the public for the first time. It was a sunny day - but the sky turned dark during Christoph's set. (Text adapted from Christophs Soundcloud profile.)

Nu volg ik Breakcore bijna niet meer, maar kan me af en toe niet aan de aandacht ontrekken dat de scene ietwat "op z'b gat ligt" , op z'n minst onwijs is gekrompen! :/

je ziet dat er veel breakcore tegenwoordig onder andere noemers gedaan wordt, vroeger voordat het hip werd stond er ook niet bij dat het 'breakcore' was. Er gebeurt nog heel veel, check ook regelmatig breakcoreworld http://breakcoreworld.wordpress.com/ het is geen volledig overzicht, maar toch wel in ieder geval een fractie :)
