How do people judge hardcore in your country?

In Holland, I think there are a lot of prejudices about hardcore.

near Paris,hardcore(gabber)is underground because french people doesn't know this kind of music...they haven't the holland culture for that(shame on us!!)

Here in Holland they often think, when you're a Hordcore-fan you do drugs, or you're a Nazi...

that's not always the truth...

I don't do drugs, I don't need them to have a cool night... just give some Red Bull or something like that, and I'll have the same fun... as the people who do drugs...

My parents don't like Hardcore, they don't like it that I'm going to Hardcore Party's... but they can't do anything about it..
if I want to go to a hardcore party, I'll go anyway... Most of the time my parents don't even know...

i think the most people who going to hardcore party´s coming voor the party.
and Londsdale is no problem, but Hardcore and Londsdale has nothing to do whit racime or anything else.
The people who think it is (the wazi/nazi´s), that are the people who destroy the Hardcore and make it to something what people don´t like. and that is the bigest reasen why people in Holland don´t like Hardcore

Well what I know is that that Nazi-scum back in the neighbourhoods in Colorado don't do any drug. The only thing they like is beer and kicking nigga's!! Well I don't join those gangs but the fights really become a problem now there. Everybody joins gangs because if you stand alone you can't survive anymore. I've joined a more vague clan of separatists, but it often comes to confrontation with the nazi's for owning a street. I felt the kicking army-boots in my neck for a couple of time. But we took revenge and shot 3 nazi fucker's as retalliation!!!

I wish I could stay here in this more peacefull country and smoke skunk every day!

Hardcore in the USA is mainly underground. Thats why u don't here a thing about it. Coz people dont know its there or dont like that genre at all. Think there are a few small party's occasionally but im not sure about that . I dont life in the US , so i can be wrong

That's true. If you ask someone here if they like Hardcore, they're more likely to think you're talking about a genre of porn rather than a genre of music. While there is a (slowly) growing interest in party music, you'd be hard-pressed to find the stuff on the radio. If you check out the clubs near universities, you may be able to find some...most of it is just spread via the net, though.

Of course, since hardcore isn't that recognized in the US, it's also not at all associated with nazi/wazi extremists. (Most americans have never heard of Lonsdale, either)

What I heard was that in the USA, mainly hardrock-types and a lot of Latino's went to the hardcore parties. But on the other hand, just like here hardcore is a music style that is MAINLY (so not everyone) listened by 'the lower class of society'. (I'm not having the intention to be offensive to others, but that's just a fact). Because there is a high percentage of 'foreigners' (relative of course) that's listening the music there, neonazism is not really living in that scene.

Actually, the hardrock types tend to stick with metal and industrial music. The biggest music spreading through Latino circles these days is a genre called "reggaeton", a mixture of reggae and hip hop music, usually in spanish, but sometimes with a bit of English mixed in.

You are correct, though, that since it is mainly foreigners and open-minded college kids who listen to hardstyle, the neonazi influence is lost.

I went to a few small hardcore partys in New york, ten years ago, it was pretty underground, yes. Everybody was fucked up in there, good music but no dutch happy hardcore/ gabber, it was more industrial. I think hardcore is more on the east coast.
