After only 1.5 years of performing as a dj, Meagashira has decided to stop his spinning activities. He performed on big venues like Masters of Hardcore, Thunderdome, Hellbound, Nightmare in Germany, Heroes of Hardcore and loads of smaller parties. In this short time he went to countries like Germany, Spain and Austria. To backup his decision Meagashira would like to send out the following message:
"I'm sorry to inform you that I will stop with my dj side activity as per 31 december 2005. Hardcore Gladiators on December 25th in Oberhausen will be the last party I am booked officially. In the following paragraphs I will try to explain how I came to this decision.
I have always said that I wanted to dj to see the impact that my own songs make on the dancefloor. Whitnessing this phenomenon on big parties added a whole new dimension to being a producer. It certainly made me aware that the way I produced goes well with a good party atmosphere, at least for the Meagashira songs and Prednison-attack. However, having said that, it definitely did not improve my producing skills. Last year I've produced hardly anything. I think this is caused by the change in lifestyle; 40+ hours job, responsibilities at home, changing vision, changing studio setup, etc. I now realize that doing three things at a time is less productive than doing one for the full 100%. This made me struggle for a few months and I've come to the conclusion that setting aside my dj 'career' is the least difficult thing to do. Although performing in front of an an astatic crowd is really something different, it is the production that has made all these emotions on parties possible. I therefore will try to do whatever I ceased to do and that's making a hit record again. I hope this will work out in the end, keeping in mind the nice memories I got in this 1.5 year of dj-ing.
Hardcore Gladiators will be the last party I am booked on. On this party you will have to opportunity to catch one of the last Meagashira shirts, so be sure you stand out tall during my set. I might even throw some white labels into the crowd. Hopefully we make a nice last party, I'll try to play the Meagashira hits you all love!
I do want to stress that there might be occasions where you will see the dj name Meagashira popping up, but that's only when I will play for parties organised by friends or the Cardiac parties (at least, if they want to
