Smokonut

Smokonut is born on July 1987 in Belgium. Passionate since his youth by music in general, he always loved electronic music in particular, his oldest influences being Daft Punk, The Prodigy or Faithless into many others.

But, between 2005 and 2006, at the age of 18 and during his exchange year in Curitiba, Brazil, he discovered the unic kind of music which completly corresponds to his spirit and his way of life. This kind of music called Psytrance (also known as Goa Trance or Psychedelic Trance), he discovered it into the huge Brazilian Rave Parties.

Since 2007, with the discovery of the totally "underground" Psytrance scene in Belgium, he got the opportunity to play to some friends parties but especially, at Nova's Incident Rave in Vielsalm, organized every year in august by the biggest Psytrance's label in Belgium, Dacru Records.
They gave him the chance to discover what was to play in front of a real crowd, to get his name on a flyer and to play alongside Djs as:
Talamasca, Mekkanikka, Alternative Control, SynSUN, Symphonix, Tim Schuldt, Lamat, FFT, Chronos, Block Device, Dejavoo, Ephedrix, Digicult, Aquila, Sufi and many more...

Smokonut played since then, every year at Nova's Incident, has been part of a Psytrance parties organization and made good friends into the international Psytrance scene.

Now, his dream is starting to be real since he's finally living in Curitiba, after 8 years of waiting...
