Biografie
Verse iTal A.K.A. Stefan Wilson, has been a part of the reggae circuit for the last 6 years. Bursting onto the scene in 2008 with the songs 'Nyquil" and 'Jah Puzzle", both produced by Azikiwe Kellar, Verse presented himself as a fast chanting reggae artist. In the following year however, Verse showed his versatility, pledging his unwavering faith to Rastafari, in the song 'Selassie I", where the artist belted out his praises. The combination of singing and chanting, which defines Verse's sound today, was born in the crossover hit 'BluePrint", released in early 2010.
By the end of 2010, Verse iTal had performed extensively in his homeland of Trinidad, which included opening major shows for Buju Banton, Beres Hammond, Damian 'Jr. Gong" Marley, NAS and Jah Cure. The following year, after releasing the smooth love song, 'Spring Water", iTal dropped his second album entitled, 'The Fullness". This album, with tracks like 'Pon D Hillside", 'Watch Yuhself" and the aforementioned 'Spring Water", all produced by Beebo, highlighted Verse's connection to roots music.
In 2012 he took his talents to the UK and Europe. He spent 6 months in the region, did numerous performances (Italy, London, Netherlands and Germany), recorded new music, created more exposure for 'The Fullness" album and forged many rewarding relationships. One relationship in particular, reunited him with the team that produced 'BluePrint" - Culture Rock Records from Germany. Together they performed and recorded new material including a song named 'Never Hurt" that would not be released until 2013. Verse returned to his homeland at the end of 2012, a different artist.
'Never Hurt" took Verse iTal to new heights. The blend of Culture Rock's modern reggae sound and iTal's delivery got listeners swinging from the first drop. It propelled him to a spot on 'Reggae on the Bay 2013" in T&T where the artist shared the stage with Cocoa Tea and Tarrus Riley, just to name a few.
The artist relocated to Europe at the end of 2013, and after doing numerous small shows, entered and won the Benelux Reggae Contest 2014 for the MC category. He describes this victory as 'career changing' as he is currently scheduled to appear in 7 festivals including the famous Reggae Geel. Now on the heels of the release of his latest hit single 'Want No Part", Verse iTal has emerged as one of the bright new stars of reggae music.
