·It was in mid 2000s when he first cut his teeth spinning a musical melting pot of house tracks and heavy bass sounds before exiling himself into endless home-studio sessions where he finally forged his own sound which has shaped around his spontaneous attraction to house and melodies.
Chicago's "Trax Records", Paris' "Roulé" and the early days of hip-hop could be named as the strongest influences in Broke One's own concept of music. After a bunch of web releases and remixes for Evil Nine, Teki Latex and Kry Wolf he has gained big praise by world's most relevant DJ thanks to his hit "Go Go Go" (LaValigetta Rec. 2011) a subtle piece of house music designed around a brilliantly evocative jackin vocal sample already endorsed by Azari & III, Andy & Jaymo and Russ Chimes but also loved by house players like Laidback Luke, Cassian and Boris Dluglosh.
After being remixed by Russ Chimes and Treasure Fingers, Broke One has managed to get his name into several charts and radio playlists, for instance BBC RADIO1's Andy & Jaymo supported more than one of Broke One's tracks playing them regularly on their radio show (and live sets). As two of his best supporters, Andy & Jaymo invited Broke One to be part of their massively anticipated debut compilation Moda Vol.1: the track Broke One crafted was "Once Upon A Time".
In October 2011 Broke One won the Italian selection of the Red Bull Music Academy and settled in Madrid for an intense studio experience alongside top producers, working with the likes of Krystal Klear, Ghosts on Tape and Full Crate. This new experience lead him to achieve a deeper vision of his own roots, and to start a dozen of new projects to work on. Soon, new tracks came out: "The Empire", released by "Stripped & Chewed" and on "Defected In The House Miami 12 Compilation", and the remix of "Spades" for his friend His Majesty Andre out on "Cheap Thrills". In the new tracks that will be released at the end of 2012 Broke One has let his unique experimental taste flow, helping him signing to Lone's "Magic Wire Recordings" for a couple of new gems that will give a buzz to all house and techno lovers.
