Lentini

The Summer of 1990, place: The Duke's Forest. This is where Den Bosch-born and bred Lentini spent most of his infant days until he started his expedition. At age 17 he moved 80 kilometers up north to Holland's capital Amsterdam. It didn't take long before he got his first taste of the big city's nightlife and ending up with a microphone in hand, hosting events such as Appelsap, Bassline and BBQ. BBQ promptly appointed him resident master of ceremony as well as official promoter, providing a playing field to gain experience and strengthen his hosting and presenting sensibilities.

The friendly giant's alertness and capabilities quickly made him the go-to guy for many popular Hip-Hop events and festivals across the land: Run Big, Frans., Illcity (Belgium), Bassline (Amsterdam's longest running Hip-Hop event), Valtifest, Hip-Hop in Duketown, Definitie van Dopeheid, they all use his ceremonial services. Alongside MC'ing, Lentini also sharpened his presentation chops with projects alongside companies such as Nike, Asics and various record label's album releases (NoizBoyz, Boef & De Gelogeerde Aap, just to name a few).

Currently, one might also find him experimenting outside the Hip-Hop realm, for instance by bringing the same raw energy to the sounds of house, garage, dub and UK funky at the eclectic Woo Riddim nights at Jimmy Woo. Chances are if you see Holland's finest DJ's, ranging from Vic Crezée to Cinnaman or from FS Green to Abstract, Lentini is riding shotgun on the microphone, enhancing your evening. Always up for a challenge, the possibilities are endless as Lentini looks forward to uplift many more events, festivals, presentations and genres, preserving the lost art of MC'ing.
