Arthur Meenks is the kind of guy that people would call a late bloomer. Nevertheless his career grew in a very fast tempo. At the age of eighteen he started taking dancing lessons and created a great sense of rhythm and feeling for music. Only after four years of dancing, he came in touch with the, at that time, very popular minimal techno. This resulted in Arthur visiting almost every party and festival he could, to satisfy his hunger for minimal techno.

In this period of time Arthur got to know Guevara, who then just founded SoundKings. First Arthur only supported the Soundkings events, founded the House/Techno platform SKUG together with Guevara, and after a year he inevitably caught the virus of DJ-ing. Finally in May 2009 he debuted at a SKUG party. His talent was soon recognized by several organizations and many gigs followed. Party's like Brandend Zand/Pakhuis, Yum Yum and Solar Festival 2010 already are the results of this talented DJ.

After a successful start, Artur decided that 2011 is, next to still being a SKUG resident during their tour throughout the Netherlands, his year of practicing in the studio and making his own music. His style ranges from groovy techno, to moody and melodic house, the perfect guy to set the tone for the night!
