Biografie
Tim Herfst (before known as Timothy Fall) is a energetic deep/tech DJ-producer from Holland with roots in the oldest city in Holland, Nijmegen.
Tim has been active in the house scene since 2005 as a promoter and dj. After visiting several of the clubnights & party's on offer in Holland he decided to organise his own events inspired by the non-stop party fever and his passion for house music. Feeling at home in the club atmosphere he fell completely in love with the music and began to buy vinyl records from the money he earned through his succesful nights. After a period of practise in his attic room, he felt it was time to get behind the decks in front of a crowd. In 2008 he started to appear alongside well known artists from the Dutch house scene. He could be found emulating the sounds of dj Sneak and Kenny Dope back then. Now his musical taste evaluated and he played at numerous generally known festivals/club nights in his home country and beyond since many years. Making a difference with a splendid musical choice and connecting with the crowd when seeing them dance is the most important aspect of playing his sets. His style is best described as rolling, deep and melodic house music. Not affraid to use a big dose of funk and groove so standing still is not an option
Since a year he is officially part of Noir Music (as A&R) and touring all around the world with Noir himself. Playing some warm-up sets before the big man and now getting more and more interesting gigs. His work as A&R gives him the opportunity to discover new talent and interesting music. Spreading some new tunes and see the effect of a good track in peoples reactions on the dancefloor while playing, gives an extra boost to his performance.
In his early days he was inspired by the well known Now&Wow parties, Club Las Palmas nights (Rotterdam) and the legendary RUSH in Amsterdam.
The industrial environment, entertainment (artistic), great sounds and non-stop going ravers in the Now&Wow period made quite an impression.
Inspired by Rotterdam based artists such as Benny Rodrigues, Leroy Styles, Lacroix, Cleon Macnack, Joey Daniel a.o. he wanted to experience this great sound/vibe closer to home. So started to bring them over to Nijmegen and Arnhem region for his own party concepts.
The same thing happened after visiting the RUSH nights. Getting to know artists such as Roog, Erick E, Brian S, Victor Coral a.o.
He was the first to fly over artist's such as Noir, Mike Monday, Paul Woolford, Worthy (USA,dirtybird), Mastiksoul, Mowgli for his party concepts and combined them with his favorite Dutch artist (friends).
Tim's personality made him many friends within the scene and he was known for always taking good care of the artists and building successful club nights.
He also began to exploit his situation as a dj and included himself on the line up at his own parties at first. His interest in the minimal techno sound grew in 2009 as he noticed that the crowd was different, more into the music than he experienced before and the people seemed to love his music as much as he did. He felt a real connection and decided to focus his sound to adapt to the scene.
In this period he appeared alongside Carl Craig, Paul Ritch, Luke Slater, Perc, Okain, Petter and numerous Dutch tech-artists such as Bart Skils, Kabale und Liebe,Anton Pieete, Julien Chaptal,Shinedoe, Benny Rodrigues, Darko Esser and Warren Fellow. His party concepts also changed into more tech minded events.
His sets these days are inspired by deep labels such as Life and Death, Innervisions, Kompakt, Ellum, Get Physical, Traum, Last Night On Earth and Noir Music. And for more tech sounds, Desolat, Crosstown Rebels, Aus Music and Cadenza.
In the past years Tim is booked next to many national/international known artists who perform in this music category.
