Kisakye

DJ Kisakye learned how to mix vinyl not that long ago. In 2006 she got her first taste on the decks and from this moment she was hooked. Surrounding herself with many talented and motivating individuals she soon plays regular gigs. It became obvious that her music style triggers a lot exactly what the dance floor needs. Kisakye is a techno rocker, a downright music instigator…Her funky vibe and jazzed up basslines make every introduction floor shaking. This chicks musical influences are diverse and subtle.
Dubsided, Get Physical Music, Great Stuff Recordings, Moon Harbour, Kindish, Found Sound, Upon You, Sender, Cocoon and even Manchester Underground Music. Her first official gig was also in 2006 at the Stekker afterparty, Verlengsnoer in Utrecht. Barely finished with her first vinyl experiments she rocked the party. After Verlengsnoer she began organizing more party's with Jorrit Spee aka Moraalridder. Their events go by the name Vuig* and are notorious for the creative ambience. In 2008 Moraalridder and Kisakye teamed up with Anna Dragstra and Michiel Hagelen, the four pitch the Vuig* party's up to a higher level. Together they are showing that there are no limits to what love for music can do. Kisakye has a residency with New House Collective, an outrages group of creative's in the famous Amsterdam based Sugar Factory.
