Robert Green

Robert Green, born in Amsterdam in 1981. Got addicted to housemusic back in 1999 after visiting the infamous Awakenings technoparty in The Gashouder, where he felt for the first time what techno can do to someone. Not long after that experience he bought, as so many, his first dj-set: two budget turntables and a simple mixer. Inspired by the sounds of Jeff Mills, Ben Sims, Adam Beyer, Richie Hawtin and so many other artists he started buying his first records and practicing his mixing skills. After a while, he came in contact with a different style of techno, the so called "Napoli-sound", played by artists like Marco Carola, Rino Cerrone and Paco Osuna. This was the sound what he was looking for. Rollin' basslines, percussive loops, sometimes hard, sometimes a little softer, but always driven with funk and groove.

As the music evolved, also Robert Green evolved as a dj. Nowadays using Traktor, Ableton and Maschine, his style of music can best be descriped as fat, chunky, driven tech-house. But always with that special kind of funk that makes you want to move..!!
