Lady J

If your style is a high energy, fast pace mixing hard techno set, you should listen to Lady J's mixes. Her passion is HARD TECHNO and EARLY HARDCORE. EARLY HARDCORE has been in her DNA since the 90s. She's no stranger to spinning vinyl either, playing classics over and over. Her uniquely energetic style revolves around mixing EARLY HARDCORE (sometimes as samples) and Hard techno.

Love for music
In the 90s she worked for several years as a regular author to THE STROBE magazine, the Benelux's first house music magazine. She also provided the first edition of THUNDER MAGAZINE with an interview and pictures of LENNY DEE. At THE STROBE she worked as a reporter, photographer and later on had her own column featuring DJ CONTESTs. From her student room she selected contenders from the many cassette tapes sent to her in mail bags, from which, among others, G-Town Madness, would pick a winner. For the winner, she arranged a spot on stage (e.g., at the Hemkade) and wrote a report about the performance.

Back then she was already providing a stage for upcoming talent and she still enjoys doing that. Music (HARD TECHNO and EARLY HARDCORE) is her greatest passion, and she likes to share it with everyone.

EASTERN STREAM
During the hard Covid lockdown the first EASTERN STREAM livestream was created in an office space. 3 DJs (Soma Cruz, Jarno, and Lady J) began a series of livestreams at ever-changing locations featuring many other DJs.
A lot of effort went into to the quality of the live sets, lighting, sound and live chat, so that everyone who was watching at home could interact with each other and the DJs.

Shortly after, they hosted their first techno party. Many other editions followed, featuring (among others) NYCO and BRECC. So do you also like an energetic set or an energetic party? Keep a close eye on LADY J!
