[TUT 024] Taciturne - Die Letzten 7 Tage Des Taciturne

On the 4th of July 1999 the experimental hardcore world was shocked by the announcement that Taciturne has committed suicide. Photos of the dead body appeared on the Gigabrother website as well as on a site named Samantha Nuller's Little Place On The Web. Strange stories appeared about the last seven days of Taciturne. It was never clear that the suicide of Taciturne was the suicide of the project and not of the person Jörg Buchholz. The death of Taciturne gave new artistic opportunities to work without any restrictions.
In the same period as 'Die Letzten 7 Tage Des Taciturne', he wrote the O.N.H. manifest, better known as the manifest of the 'Ordre Du Nouvel Homme', which stands for the rebirth. Since the O.N.H. manifest, Jörg Buchholz worked on many new dark ambient, kraut and neofolk influenced projects, some are known and some still secret.

How did this release never saw the light of day before 2012? 'Die Letzten 7 Tage Des Taciturne' was originally planned to release as double EP on the defunct Bad Ming Tunes label in autumn 1999, with catalogue number BMTR0002. Unfortunately the label stopped releasing vinyls. The album had been online for a short period on the Gigabrother website, but never as a real release. And now, in september 2012, the final version is here, on double cassette on the Treue um Treue label.

The release 'Die Letzten 7 Tage Des Taciturne' is about dark feelings, suicide and hope.
For people that are more into the dancefloor tracks on Fischkopf this release might not fit the expectations, but when interested in the whole process of Jörg Buchholz as an artist, this might be considered as one of the most essential releases, as this release reaches into the deeper psychology behind artistic views.
