We arrived at Alicante Airport at around 9:00 pm and we were picked up by Peter and DJ Juanma. They took us to a bar where we met Javi Boss. After a nice drink and a game of porn memory the crew took us to a great restaurant near the club. When we entered the restaurant we were welcomed by some fans who applauded when we sat down at our table. After a nice dinner with some tapas, a great steak, a few beers and some after dinner shots it was time to go to the hotel to take a shower and get ready for the party.
At around 1.30 pm our transfer to the club arrived. He told us the police raided the club and that a lot of people went home. We kind of looked at each other and thought that this was going to be a loooong night. But of course the Spanish have a way to exaggerate things a bit and the parking lot was pretty full when we arrived.
Ruffneck hasn’t been in Spain in a long time and the fans went completely mad when we arrived. It was like Michael Jackson himself came in. After we all had our moments of fame we noticed the Enzyme Invasion decoration at Central: Enzyme logo’s everywhere……all hand made! The dancers were wearing Enzyme logo’s on their butts….and it looked better than on any record I’ve ever seen! But it was nothing compared to the energy drinks with our faces on them! That was just hilarious!
At around 3:00 am when the club was completely packed I started of with my remix of Lost in Dreams, followed by some of my own tracks like Hate me, Take that shit back and Coke Sniffer. After that I took off with some tracks of Evil Activities, Mad Dog and Amnesys. I played a very energetic and technical set and the crowd seemed to like it a lot! Eventually I ended my set with my new track which will appear on Enzyme 30. I climbed on top of the dj-booth during this track and the crowd went wild!
Then at 4:00 am it was time for some legends to combine forces for the next 90 minutes: Ruffneck vs Endymion! As expected these gentlemen got the crowd going to another level. Endymion took off with a special edit of DJ D’s Gloria followed by All the way up which was requested many times before their set. With insane popular tracks like How Long, Vengeance and Suffocate this set was an absolute highlight! The performance of both was outstanding and at the end of their set Ruffneck climbed on top of the dj-booth to hype up the crowd when they played the new Enzyme K7-8 (Rocket fuel by Sei2ure). Wishing you where there don’t you?
Just when I thought the crowd could not go wilder, Ophidian did the impossible. People went totally crazy when he dropped his first track. A large group of people were obviously waiting for Ophidian’s rawness! And rawness it what he gave them. Ophidian created a great atmosphere by combining very raw industrial tracks with hit records like Angel, So many sacrifices and Psychiatric ass. During the breakdown of Butterfly Ruffneck and me took Ophidian on our shoulders so he could enjoy the applause from his fans. During this set I could not stand still and I went to the dance floor to party along with the Spanish crowd! After Ophidian’s set the crowd started chanting his name. This set was the icing on the cake!
After we did our ‘thing’ Javi Boss and Juanma went on pounding their hard kicks onto the crowd and after a lot of shots of god-knows what the hell we drank (it tasted like gasoline) we all went back to the hotel to get some sleep (fall into a deep coma). The first Enzyme Invasion was a great success in our opinion. This was mainly because of the fantastic crowd in Central Rock.
We would like to thank: Esther, Javi, Juanma and Peter for taking great care of us.
We would not like to thank Transavia for making us wait 6 hours for our flight to Holland.
