·Behind the Gelido project is a young lost Italian gentleman with Spanish roots, trying to find his way in the world. He grew his taste for the bizarre side of electronica in Wilberforce, NSW before being picked up by an epic storm and dropped in Melbourne one rainy afternoon. At first he felt like a strange creature out of his comfort zone, but soon he found other strange creatures that fed off his frequencies.
Gathering early influence from breakcore and the intricate sounds of 'brain dance', broken note and the likes, Gelido has always had a particular craving and knack for concise sample editing and rapidly moving drum structures. Whether you call it glitch, 'IDM'(if you must), chill, abstract hip hop or whatever genre might try to box this chap, there is no avoiding the extreme attention to detail
