ICON is the Effenaar’s regular Drum and Bass party night in collaboration with DJ’s Nymfo and Pressure. ICON is where you go to hear and feel the biggest names in the Drum and Bass scene play. Thanks to the Effenaars legendary soundsystem the heaviest beats and Basslines come into their own and dominate the dancefloor. After previous succesful events with Pendulum and Andy C we are pleased to announce a huge lineup for the final party of the year. The creator of the world famous Valve Sound System, three world famous lads from Groningen, and the man who credited with unleashing the “Neurofunk” sound on the world.
Dillinja: There are only a very few producers in the world of Drum and Bass who are as justly celebrated and respected as Dillinja. His trademark stomach-churning Basslines and in-your-face beats make him one of the most influential modern day producers.
Friction: This Brighton born DJ has made a huge impression on the Drum and Bass scene in the last few years. Going from promoting his own club nights his talent was quickly spotted and releases on TOV and Renegade Hardware soon followed. From that point on there was no holding back, and his “Altitude” release introduced the world to the ultimate fusion of energetic techno and jungle that the world would come to know as the “Neurofunk” sound.
Noisia: The fastest rising stars in Drum and Bass, and they’re Dutch to boot! Noisia are busy making history. The three young producers from Groningen are already mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Pendulum. They have a distinctive, bombastic sound that echoes through all their productions
