Rave on- with environmental awareness and less garbage
Concerned about the protection of Tiergarten's nature, the Loveparade has developed a new and improved nature protection and safety concept: It is based on the construction of a wide enclosure at the outermost periphery of the Großer Tiergarten, the city´s largest green park, and a sophisticated system of reusable tins and bottles along the parade route. Natural or existing barriers such as buildings as the Technical University but also waterways will serve as enclosure, in-between a two meter high fence will be erected and thus protect the green areas of the Tiergarten.
But don´t worry: Loveparade as you know it will remain unaffected. The 12th of July will still be rocking Berlin with beats and basses. Partying ravers can move freely in and out by using any street or major path leading into the Tiergarten to arrive at the party mile. There will be no admission fee or personal search.
Our aim is to reduce the garbage in the Tiergarten, which is mainly due to illegal merchants selling beverages in tins and glass bottles as well as the illegal distribution of promotional items in the past years. In order to limit the mass of garbage furthermore, only reusable plastic tins and bottles will be distributed with a refundable deposit. They will be used for beverage and food selling. We think all of you will understand this new concept - the partying at the Loveparade will go on, and we are looking forward to seeing you in Berlin - Love Rules!
