Ik krijg best vaak van die schermpjes in beeld met daarop reclame voor bepaalde bedrijven, websites of universiteiten. Weet iemand wat het is en hoe ik het kan uitzetten?
Volgens mij komt dat niet door MSN.

Ik had er ook last van.
AdAware ge-update, gedraait, ens sindsdien nergens geen last meer van. Blijkbaar toch spyware o.i.d.

Je krijgt ze steeds vaker, ongewenste popup berichten van MSN. Doordat er een bug in Windows XP zit kunnen mensen deze berichten gewoon blijven sturen. Heel vervelend dus. Maar er is wel wat aan te doen waardoor je van het gezeur afbent.
Ga naar Start --> Uitvoeren --> en typ in: cmd
Er verschijnt nu een DOS venster in beeld. Hier typ je het volgende in: C:\>net stop messenger
Je zult zien dat je geen vervelende popup berichtjes meer zult ontvangen. Mocht je door wat voor reden dan ook weer van dit soort popups willen ontvangen typ dan: C:\>net start messenger.

De Messenger Service (en dus ook het stoppen hiervan) heeft volgens mij niets te maken met deze pop-ups. De pop-ups zijn een imitatie van de originele Messages die door Windows zelf wordt gegenereerd. Ze lijken er wel een beetje op. Maar volgens mij heeft het stoppen van de service weing nut.
Als het een echte window pop-up was geweest, had er minimaal een computernaam, IP-adres of service bij vermeld gestaan. En dit is niet het geval.

Kun je meteen ook je achtergrond doorzichtig maken, en berichten bijhouden die je verstuurd en binnekrijgt. Deze laatste functie werkt trouwens niet met MSN 5 en nieuwer

Lees het op een zondagavond nog wel ff, maar wat ik daarvoor had geprobeerd (ff terug scrollen... o ja Danie) dat werkt dus NIET.
Had nl gisteravond weer zo'n mooi reclame pop upje. Wat mij dus opvalt is dat ik het altijd krijg wanneer ik pc heel lang niet (min. 2 uur ofzo) gebruik maar wel aanstaat, zodat ik m'n monitor weer aandoe en mooi popupje zie.
