Sounds like a new topic!
I think the Europe is changing like the rest of the world. its gotten smaller and technology has gotten faster. I think Cellphone plans are a rip off here though...
Every country have some cultural differences, but we have also commons aspects.
I would like the same public languages education for 27 member countries.
Native language + English + French + other language (Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Deutsch, Danish, etc...)
A example:
If I would like to live to Netherlands next 10 years, my daughter must to learn native language + English + French + Dutch.
It´s good for the European people.

Sounds interesting, but it would be OK just to teach English as a foreign language and one extra optional language. I would prefer Spanish over French, and even German, because I feel connected to them more, and besides Spanish is a world language in the developed world, French is a world language in poor countries in Africa etc.
However, I like the idea. If all Europeans would be fluent in English, we would grow together faster and I think it's exactly what we need, in order to make a fist to the USA and China.
Also I think as Europe we should look beyond the boundaries of the EU and narrow the ties with Russia, because they are an European country as well and need to be kept as close allies in order to stabilize the world's politics and shift the power balance from those scumbags in Washington, to the GOOD side of the Atlantic
Yeah that'd be a good idea... in some smaller countries like Holland it is normal to speak English and 2 other languages. Myself I speak English, German and Dutch, and I understand some Spanish and Portugese, but for example in the UK or Ireland it is rare, even for educated people, to master any foreign language...
But teaching a new language means that the quality of the education is very important... in France people learn English in schools but hardly speak it... that's just a shame...

Go to Mallorca couple of times in the holiday season and score some English sluts, that's good for your mastering of their language
I know
August 2007 @ Mallorca, just surrounded by Dutch people
August 2008 @ Ibiza, just surrounded by English people
This is a reason that I love Europe, also Europeans girls

So here in this topic we can to argue about Europe´s news, culture and important aspects.
What do you think about Europe?
Europe is great, we just need to teach everyone the same language.

That's not true, French ppl only speak French.
English ppl only English.

No. Just native language + 1 foreign language (as for me, rather German than English) just because English people are too arrogant to learn another language mustn't mean we have to learn to speak like them. Speak to 10 random people in Amsterdam and they will all say they only speak English, that's how crap our capital is. So, England must be kicked out the EU (they have no Euro, no international free traffic, no European laws)
France still thinks it's some sort of world power, but not anymore by far. So French must me obliterated as an obliged foreign language at schools throughout Europe.

Russia is a 'sinking ship', so we don't need them (population decrease of 0.48 annually). Right now 141 million people living in Russia, in 2050 'only' 110 million, go figure.
Entropa: Stereotypes are Barriers to be Demolished
