Het is een freeform mix. Dat is een stijl in Engeland die behoorlijk stevig is. BPM gaan soms wel richting de 200.

Mix begint best wel trancy maar wordt later harder en harder. Veel early rave invloeden. De mix eindigt twee nummers die er een beetje buiten vallen, maar wel erg lekker zijn. Ik denk dat Freeform best wel succesvol in Nederland zou kunnen zijn.

Wat vind jullie van deze mix? En zou dit een succes kunnen zijn in Nederland?

Ganar ruzie met Hixxy, dat lijkt me niet verstandig...
Wat is er aan de hand dan?


zeggen dat hij een ghost producer gebruikt. maar er is altijd gezeur en gezeik in deze scene. Een aantal jaren terug had je toch het gezeur rondom DJ Sy en MC Storm. Dat heeft ze beide niet goeds gedaan. En ook Thumpa die de Freeform wereld en de UK Hardcore wereld de rug toekeert. Het wordt er niet leuker op.
Het is jammer.

Ja, ze maken ook pulp. Maar het gaat niet om zozeer om tracks van de Tweekaz. Maar om de symbiose van stijlen en de kans die ze geven aan Darren Styles en ik vermoed ook Gammer. Komen vast collabs ;)

-> zo'n edit/remix maakt meteen duidelijk dat hardstyle eigenlijk te langzaam is, en met wat meer vaart en minder lompheid (de kicks bij hardstyle zijn vaak overdreven hard) is het veel aantrekkelijker

I stopped completely with that music, the scene in the UK is a mess, Styles & Gammer continue their success in other countries but over here we went from 10/12 major promoters to one promoter putting 1000+ parties on, so much went wrong in that scene, greed, politics, social media scandals, new talent being blocked, I couldn't carry on with it and now I don't even listen to anything new.

there's not a lot coming out lately. I'm still need to get the hang of DS and Gammer's style, it can be very pleasant to listen to, but sometimes you want to go back to the golden years. You've got people experimenting, which is always a good thing, but people seem to focus too much on what these two do. Unique-ness isn't a thing anymore.
I remember when Powerstomp came out, people were delighted about it. It was fresh, and it had something to it which was unique. Only a handful producers still keep it alive, which is a pity.
I do love UK Hardcore, but there's not a lot coming out of the scene which makes me smile for miles. Hence me listening to other styles lately like Gabber/Hardcore and Trance.
And yes, the political side of it all doesn't do the scene any good. I think the internet has destroyed any potentials. Da Tweekaz are playing UK Hardcore, which is nice, but it's not the sound that came from its roots. The unique sound UK Hardcore had has been replaced by the commercial sound, which started back in the Clubland years. I recently bought the Clubland album and have never been so disappointed.
It was so good, but what happened?
Even with Freeform. There's not a lot of music being released or pushed forward. I do like artists such as Finnbarr, he's unique and talented, but for a strange reason the music being distributed is minimal. It's sad.
Remember last year, Thumpa, in Bournemouth? You played with A.B and I was loving it, but sadly not a lot of people there. The music was good, the people were extremely nice, but not a lot of animo for it. I don't know why that is. Freeform has never been political as such, but even that has been under a lot of pressure.
It's pushing talent forward, which is difficult. You had your own label and your CDs did well. But you were unhappy. You decided to do something different with DJ Terror, and I wish you all the best :)

Heerlijke mix wederom. Het valt me op dat je telkens kwalitatief arme genres als hardstyle, millenium, jump vermijdt. Stijlen die m.i. weinig toevoegen, van voorspelbaarheid aan elkaar hangen. Platte muziek.
Ook deze mix biedt weer verrassende overgangen, leuke, nieuwe combinaties van geluiden en stijlen. Mooi! Het is prettig dat je nog steeds verrast kan worden in deze wereld van monothematische sets ;) Waar de grote jongens halverwege de jaren 90 afhaakten, ga jij verder met het brengen van het oorspronkelijke gevoel uit de scene; anything goes. Hulde.

Het valt me op dat je telkens kwalitatief arme genres als hardstyle, millenium, jump vermijdt


Jump en millenium ( is hardcore van na 2000 toch? :) ) heb ik allebei nog nooit wat in gezien / gehoord, Niet mijn ding.

Hardstyle moet je goed zoeken, en dan kom je uit biij early hardstyle uit italie.
Maar de "echte" Hardstyle is gewoon echt bagger. En dan ook nog allemaal dezelfde vreselijke geluiden in hun nummers.
Daar verspil ik geen tijd aan. ;)

Nee joh, ze hebben nou toch ook een "freestyle" zaal op veel feesten.
Krijg je een setje met Jump/oldstyle/hardcore, daar moet ik dan wel weer om lachen. lmao
Echt spannend maken ze het niet.

Waar de grote jongens halverwege de jaren 90 afhaakten, ga jij verder met het brengen van het oorspronkelijke gevoel uit de scene;


zoek dan naar de label Total Destruction Records. Is een label van Casketkrusher, die brengt nieuwe platen uit, gefocussed op de oldskool Happy Hardcore en Gabber sound. Herkenbare geluiden, super label. Vind dat echt extreem bruut, dat er nog iemand is die dat doet. Maar ook trouw blijven aan de oude sound! :)
