This was my second Dance Valley (2009 and 2011) and I think the only bad thing this year (as everyone knows) was the weather.
Somehow another personal "minpunt" was the traffic jam in duitsland (~2 hours @ 30°C). Maybe Petrus thought he was funny this saturday.
Stages:
I came to DV especially for trance, hardtrance and hardstyle.
As I heard, the trance-stage was recycled from 2010 which wasn't that much of a problem since I wasn't there that year. Because of the "modder/blubber/rain"-problems I only saw a bit of Cosmic Gate (nice) and Jaytech (felt boring).
One thing that surprised me was the big outdoor hardstyle-stage this year. And even in the rain (~20:00) it was the only crowded one. I think that means something.
DBSTF and Dutch Master did a good job. Showtek were better than I expected since I usually don't like their "Euro Hardstyle". With such a great location, DV is now definitive worth a visit for hardstyle fans!
The last half hour at the Mainstage: House is actually not my music and I would have preferred something similar to Ferry Corsten (DV 2009), but the 30 minutes succeeded to bring back most of the DV-fealing for me: Great lightshow, fireworks and nice to watch from top of the "valley".
"Geluid":
Overall good, but felt a little too loud in some places for my opinion (HQ!). Strange, since normally the problem is the other way around.
Prices:
I paid 25€ for entrance and DV was definitive worth it.
Parking for 9€ was descend, but only to find out by chance (very last sentence in "All You Need To Know"). Probably UDC didn't want too many people to get that info.
5 munten for 14 euro was more than others (currently) demand. The price was well OK for drinks, but food was far too expensive.
Fazit:
Without the bad weather it would have been something-to-remember for me. This way it was "made the best out of it".
For a similar hardstyle-stage and continous support of trance (unlike ID&T at MysteryLand!), I'll probably come back next year. Even for 60€.
