For the next Baobab event we are heading back to our beloved Nijmegen. For our debut in Merleyn we’ve invited some of our favorite selectors in these lands. From Amsterdam we have Alex Figueira, who you might recognise from the bands Conjunto Papa Upa, Fumaça Preta or you might have seen him in the famous VintageVoudou recordstore / label in Amsterdam.
From Rotterdam we are excited to have our brothers MF Andrade & Qoqonut back inna di building! They don’t need an introduction, but here it is; MF Andrade has established himself at Red Light Radio and also known for playing throughout the country and beyond. Qoqonut is a nut that grows in a palmtree but this Qoqonut is also the man behind Drift - Om te dansen and Underpants. These guys have lit the place up before with us and we are without a doubt in for a treat again. For this evening we have asked them to prepare a strictly Cabo Verde set, so expect a lot dancing tracks from the magical islands!
