This is one hell of a special event for us here at Live Evil.
We've put on shit loads of parties over the years showcasing the best hardcore techno aritsts the world has to offer, but we were all brought up on breakbeats, from the early days of old skool Hip Hop in the 80s, the UK hardcore breakbeat rave scene, drum and bass and of course all those hardcore tracks that feature breakbeats, those sampled drum loops have been with us since day DOT.
We had toyed with the idea of doing an old skool night for a while under a different name but never actually got round to sorting it out, but with a bit of persausion from a certian Live Evil regular (Tash) we decided to go to that place in our hearts and make this installment of Live Evil a 100% breakbeat event. All hardcore of course! No anthems, no cheese, no fucking around, just hardcore breakbeat dance music.
We have put together a lineup that represents what we love and who we all are, it promises to be a uinique event, the artists are able to play the shit that they want to hear, no pressure, no expectations, they are doing what they want. Panacea does not play his old stuff out, but he is for this Live Evil. Nebula II is loving the fact he can dig out all the dark and hard tunes that dont always go down so well at "regular" old skool nights. Mark N loves his old skool and played an amazing set at Riverdance earlier this year, and now he has free reign to step up and push the sounds even harder. Producer and Maxey were both going on about how much they were looking forward to this event at the last one. Hellfish hasnt been booked as Secret Squirrel in a LONG time. Simon and Traffik can barely contain themselves, so many great tunes, so many years of awesome breakbeat music, this wont happen again, its a one off. Miss it at your peril!
