We are really pleased to announce that the RAWAX family will be hosting one of its infamous Showcases for ADE 2017 with a line-up starring the Chicago House legends: Joe Smooth, Dj Skull, Detroit's very own Reggie Dokes and RAWAX's mastermind: Robert Drewek!

JOE SMOOTH:

One of the pioneers of the style of music known today as house music. He is a self-taught musician who from the age of 12 has been creating music that is inspiring to all that his sound has touched. In 1985 he joined the DJ International family and quickly became a central force behind everything written or produced from the visionary label. He has worked with such artists as Destiny’s Child, Sisqo, Donell Jones, Whitney Houston, R Kelly, Joe, The Art Of Noise, Sterling Void, The Pet Shop Boys, Janet Jackson, Brian Mcknight, Atlantic Starr, The Style Council, New Order, Frankie Knuckles, Marshal Jefferson, A Guy Called Gerald, Lil Louis, D'Bora, Tyree Cooper, Fast Eddie, Fingers Inc., Steve Hurley... and The List Goes On…
Today he is considered a Chicago dj legend due to the mystic he created at the Smart Bar, Warehouse and clubs that get a chance to experience his magic today.

RON MANEY aka DJ SKULL:

Ron Maney also known as DJ Skull hails from the Southside of Chicago, IL USA. His musical career started during the summer of 1986, while recovering from a broken bone. Ron was not able to do the things he was used to, so he took to listening and djing Electronic music. From the genre to the minimal production set up, Electronic Music was total freedom of expression. During the following years he homed his craft, djing first at basement parties, building his reputation to go on to larger venues such as, loft and hotel parties, and eventually the infamous Music Box and Power Plant clubs.

REGGIE DOKES:

Originally from Detroit, born and raised, this Atlanta transplant, has been a DJ since his youth. From backyard and basement parties as a youth, to the small club scene of metro Detroit, Reggie Dokes eventually became a sought after DJ in the city. Fast forwarding to 2001, is when he created his label Psychostasia Recordings. Although the label has been dormant for several years, 2016 finds the label back in full swing with distribution from Clone Records (Rotterdam). His sound is eclectic and soulful, and over the years as a producer of deep house, techno, tech house and downtempo, he has managed to release singles and EPs with various underground labels from the U.S. to Europe.
