Starting DJing and producing in 1993, Joel Mull’s career spans over two decades. He has released music on labels worldwide and along with Cari Lekebusch, Robert Leiner, Adam Beyer and Jesper Dahlbäck he counts to the first wave of Swedish techno producers who became known around the world as the “Swedish techno sound”. As a producer, he is constantly active and has released over 100 releases and under various names such as Icarus and recently Gotzkowsky on the label Dystopian. Joel is constantly touring and traveling around the world almost every weekend and playing at the main clubs and festivals in the scene.
Joel Mull is supported by fellow Swede Ulf Eriksson known as the man behind the Malmö based label Kontra-Musik. Copenhagen's own hard hitting producer and DJ Ctrls is also on the bill, his techno EPs are among the finest releases on Token Records. Below in Red Box, we take it down a nudge with some proper house music by resident DJ Tim Andresen of Savoir Faire Musique and his What Happens imprint, who is joined by the Bongo & Pusk duo of Tonkind and Compute Music!
Distortion Club is an international festival for emerging dance music, curated by Copenhagen's finest venues. At Culture Box focus is on techno and house music. It's all about musical trance and midnight magic, by presenting gems of live music wizardry, old and new. This takes place throughout the Distortion week on Thursday June 1st and Friday June 2nd 2017. With a "Distortion Week Pass" you’ll get access to all the Distortion events, but as always, tickets are also available at the door.
