ORLANDO VOORN: One of the 1st Dutch musicians to establish a connection between Detroit & A'dam in the early '90’s, long recognized as one of Netherland’s most original & ingenious producers in the world of electronic dance music, began dj'ing at the age of 12, went on to win his first scratch competition at A'dam's Club Flora Palace. Winning that competition, he continued to practice & was discovered by Dutch Radio host Robin Albers who was in charge of Dutch DMC DJ Championship '86. Voorn placed 1st in the competitions '86 & '87 which placed him in the world championships of DMC twice in the UK where he came in 3rd & 5th, spinning with his own characteristic blend of hip hop & electro. The end of the '80's he acquired his first sequencer, turned his hand to producing his productions; his first project under the alias Fixomatic: "Hurt 'em Bad", the track an old-school hip-hop record; sold very well. Subsequently, Voorn made a name for himself under the alias Frequency w/ classic label Lower East Side Records: “Where Is Your Evidence”, “Kiss the Sky”, “Industrial Metal”. As a result, Voorn was introduced to Juan Atkins, they started to collaborate/produce tracks together at Voorn’s home studio where he remixed Industrial Metal while Juan tweaked the sounds.
Atkins & Voorn worked extraordinarily well together; Juan taught Orlando how to merge sounds & change the standards of conventional productions. Voorn also recorded for a legendary Detroit label KMS an imprint of Kevin Saunderson using yet another alias known as Fix, where he created a dance floor destroyer called “Flash”, which remains in many DJs' crates at this moment. Flash became a hit in the Detroit clubs first before breaking out internationally. Voorn has a well know history of working w/ Detroit originators incl Derrick May’s imprint “Fragile”, under alias Complex, entitled “Midi Merge”. Voorn used many aliases in order to present various styles of music w/out limitation. Voorn has never limited himself to one particular style of producing. You could easily say that he is incredibly versatile in switching between many styles that demonstrates him as a well known producer. We welcome Orlando Voorn on The Bus!

WILL KINSELLA (Sleaze Records, Kombination Research, Dynamo Recordings): Discovered by Dave Clarke in 2010, since 2008, Irish producer Will Kinsella studied sound and music technology, spent a year under the mentorship of Matador (Minus), worked as house engineer in Grouse Lodge & Temple Lane studios. As producer he has signed tracks to Kombination Research, Dynamo Recordings, Sleaze Records, & Globox. He was listed in Dave Clarke’s top tracks of 2011 w/ “Kongo”. As radio presenter he presents Ceoltronic Radio for Ireland's national broadcaster RTE (Pulse & 2FM). As promoter he has brought artists such as Jeff Mills, Joseph Capriati, Alan Fitzpatrick, Slam, Sasha Carassi, Cari Lekebusch, The Advent & Industrialyzer to Irish shores through his Equinox/Apocalypse Now projects. Will founded the DIT DJ Society in 2001 which is now Ireland's largest and longest standing University DJ collective. Will's music is played/supported by Dave Clarke, Slam, Alan Fitzpatrick, Harvey McKay, Danny Tenaglia, Gregor Tresher, Jon Rundell, Rebekah, Marcel Dettmann, Paco Osuna, Sasha, Pig & Dan, Carlo Lio.. Having caught him last yr @ Schuim ADE, this is Will's first appearance on The Bus!

NICKY ELISABETH: Born in The Netherlands, raised in Belgium, at 17 moved back to Holland & started working in Amsterdam's dance scene as marketing advisor for various music organisations incl Next Monday's Hangover, Mystic Garden Festival, & Klerenbende. Her passion for music continued to deepen, which lead her to start DJing. Over the years she's developed a serious passion for the original Chicago house sound & is inspired by artists such as Tyree Cooper, Theo Parrish, Paul Johnson & Motor City Drum Ensemble. Now 21, her style is versatile; skillfully blending classic & modern sounds. Her signature sound throughout her sets however, always remains to be that of an old school groove. Having met @ a Tyree Cooper gig, this is Nicky's first gig with The Bus!

RUBZMAN: Dutch dj/producer Rubzman uses deep & uplifting dance music to take his audience on an adventure. In the early 80’s he started making music using a 4 track sampler. Taking inspiration fr his day-job as 1/3 of the Vision Impossible vj team, his signature is a warm blend of sounds & cinematic build-ups. 2014 saw the release of his 1st EP on Cosmic Disco Records. A 2nd EP was released on Berlin-based Code2---both well received. His latest EP, Atlantiz, is a solo production on A'dam label Xqisit. An EP Ibiza Spirit w/ dj Lady Ace was brought out in May & the duo became hosts of Cosmic Disco's monthly radio show. Rubzman holds down various residencies in A'dam; vet! at Club NL, Panama, Sugar Factory, & The Bus naturally, after having played his 1st official gig w/ us at Paradiso in 2011!

LADY ACE is a future-sound dj w/ an inspiring sound that takes you on an exciting uplifting journey. Next to dj'ing she is also an underground promotor of dj's/producers + advisor for events re booking artists, acts, visuals & new projects. Starting her dj adventure in Amsterdam in the early 90's, she's played in Miami, Kiev, Jakarta, Ibiza, sharing the booth with Sister Bliss, Future Shock, Gino, Mason.. This yr she & producer Rubzman released their 1st track together recorded in Ibiza named Ibiza Spirit on Cosmic Disco Records. Together with Cosmic Disco they host a monthly radio show. Lady Ace plays regularly for Nomads, 5&33, vet!, Club NL, & The Bus!

GINO LIGHTNER: One of the pioneers of the Dutch house scene; working with Abraxas & Flamman in Holland's 1st "house" music venue, Subtopia, rising heroes of the underground/after-hr scene, becoming a regular w/ Multigroove, Dancevalley, Mysteryland, Pacha Amsterdam, Planet E Basel, WIOYM, Zwets, Sassafras;
currently making the transition fr dj/organizer to producer, this former film student is sure to have plenty of tricks up his sleeve for 2015. Upcoming releases incl "Burning Soul" on Cosmic Disco Records. Gino has been playing regularly on The Bus since '97!

THE BUS Party Organization was started in Amsterdam in 1996 by Canadian ex-pat Debra Mitchell as a vehicle to bring English dj and friend John OO Fleming to The Netherlands. Borrowing the name "The Bus" from the philosophy of 1960's Merry Band of Pranksters, (with full approval of Chief Prankster Ken Kesey), The Bus got running Saturday 2 March 1996 at Amsterdam's Catacomben with John OO Fleming taking the driver's seat. Saturday 9 August 1996, after just 3 small sold-out parties, The Bus made their Paradiso (V.I.P. Club) debut headlined by Dave Randall, (having made his Netherlands debut 20 April 1996, also on The Bus, also at Catacomben). The Bus celebrated their one-year anniversary with a party at Paradiso---their third Pardiso party in little more than six months---with John OO Fleming back behind the wheels. In total The Bus has done 14 full Paradiso parties with international djs such as Billy Nasty, Fabio Paras, Steve Thomas, Devilfish...with local heros the likes of JP, Angelo, Paul Jay, Cellie, Gino, David Hernandez...introduced newcomers Bart Skils, Steven de Peven...and giving start to artists like Airplain Visuals, Raymond Taubin Chabot.. Even Simon Vinkenoog has enriched The Bus with a performance. Also responsible for memorable parties at the Church of Ruigoord, Mazzo, and various clubs and squats, (working with Radical Rehousing), The Bus has travelled to Denmark with Het Amsterdam Ballongezelschap to co-organize parties there. In 2001 when Ken Kesey passed on, Debra began to take a back seat in the party world, having lost her mentor. Now, after an overhaul, The Bus is back on the scene. With parties at Paradiso, Pand 14, Club NL, 't Schuim, The Bus is now in talks with some of Holland's biggest festival organizers.
