Biografie (Engelstalig) van DJ Andyloop:
DJ Andyloop is one of the most experienced DJ's and producers (as well as a programmer for clubs), contributing
since many years to the clubing concept of Global Beat in Barcelona. He initiates his career during the 90s
in underground parties throughout the city, just as the characteristic mestizo sound starts to emerge from
the catalan capital. Towards the end of the 90s he moves to Berlin, where he participates in the famous
Freitags-Bar, a pioneering venue for this style in the German city, and it is here that he starts to mix everything
he learned in electronic music. After a few years he returns to his homeland, soon becoming a cofounder
together with musician Wagner Pa of the mythical and successful "Brazelona Sessions" nights from 2004
onwards in the SideCar venue. It's where he shares the booth with the most acclaimed names in the global
scene until 2010; the year in which the collective decides to take a new direction, but not before producing his
first compilation album as a legacy from the place where he got known to a wider audience. Nowadays, he is a
member, together with DJ Nickodemus, Pablo Sanchez and Sujinho Nossa, of the Collective "Turntables on las
Ramblas", sister of the prestigious party "Turntables on the Hudson" in New York, taking place once a month
in Barcelona.
He is a born investigator. His sessions travel through House, Breakbeat, Funk, amongst others... nonetheless
always looking for the connection with the new musical waves emerging from Africa, Latin-America, the
central east of Europe, the Balkans, and, of course, his hometown Barcelona. A resounding palette of the most
diverse and urban kind, mixed with a very good sense of taste, and a smooth, actual and very fresh style,
always generating an energy charged with rhythm, joy, positivism and colour in his sessions. Connecting
swiftly with the wavelength of the public, and sometimes accompanied by live musicians. All of these qualities
have resulted in sessions in numerous clubs and festivals throughout Europe, Latin-America and the United
States. As a producer he has brought out various RMX's for labels like Urban Worlds Records (Copenhagen),
Turntables on The Hudson or Wonderwheel Recordings (New York) and Nascense (London). He has collaborated
with producers and groups like Zulu 9.30, La Troba Kung FU, Dj Nickodemus, Los Chicos Altos and DJ Tillo
(Macaco and Orishas), with whom he currently forms a team of DJ's under the name of Global Duo.
