21.09.2007 – Lofar presents the 7th Get Perlonized!
If there’s one thing you could become to expect from us by now, it’s that the upcoming edition of Get Perlonized! stars yet another proper newcomer in the Perlon stable - in the form of Stephen Beaupré this time.
No matter what sub-sub-genre of electronic music Mr. Beaupré applies in his production and dj-sets, he tapers each cut with equal parts tech-dub warmth and glitchy precision. Also known as member of the duo Crackhouse, his minute-to-minute exercise in tension and buildup before peaking at a dancefloor friendly frenzy, is considered by many to be the finest and innovative in rhythmic complexities.
Accompanying him on this pumping-and-stomping rapmage through the Amsterdam located Flexbar, is the über-cuddly, innovative Perlon label boss and founder Zip. Stripped of all context and background information, Zip, aka Dimbiman, remains the thoroughly thrilling, faithful, intelligent, forward-stepping figure, that places 21st century house music in the best possible light.
Closing ranks as always, patras familias Ramchez, will ride the contours of 4/4 foundations -loose in the limbs, building layers into one formatted whole.
Adding depth and integrating this event with flawless images, is our non-narrative film-jockey Teyega, mesmerizing and sweetening even the worst medicine with his powerful visual juxtapositions.
