Tiësto, twice voted the #1 DJ in the world by DJ Magazine, will make Olympic history on Friday, August 13, when he becomes the first DJ ever to perform in an Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Some four billion people will be watching the planet's premier sport event, when the 28th Olympiad of the modern era opens in Greece, the land where the Olympics were born, and the City where they were revived 108 years ago.

No DJ has ever performed at the Olympic Games.

The President of the ATHENS 2004 Organizing Committee, Mrs. Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, heralded the announcement of Tiësto’s participation, saying: “Our Ceremonies will include unique Greek artistic elements along with modern and international perspectives. In October 2003, Tiësto was approached by the Athens Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (ATHOC) for a DJ-performance of 90 minutes during the parade of the athletes, a part of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games.

During this parade, all participating nations introduce their athletes, over 10,000 in total. ATHOC has shown it values art and innovation by asking the most popular DJ on Earth to produce the music for the parade.

Tiësto will perform his DJ-set live in the Olympic Stadium in Athens. This will include new tracks produced especially for the Opening Ceremony and songs that have been tailored to compliment the spirit of the Ceremony.

In connection with this announcement, Tiësto said, “I am honored to be to be part of the biggest sports event in the world. The fact that the Games are returning to their birthplace and to the city where they were revived makes Athens 2004 very special. The opportunity to perform my music for billions of people around the globe will be the greatest highlight of my life.”

Luister gewoon maar eens naar beide plaatjes en dan hoor je het vanzelf.... Jezper (producer van Rah) zal geen stappen ondernemen maar hij weet niet echt of hij vereerd moet zijn aangezien Tiesto regelmatig Rah - Pole Position in zijn sets had zitten of dat hij pissed moet zijn op Tijsje....

Welke versie is vet, gaaf, mooi?... Ik vind Pole Position net een stukje beter, maar Tiesto heeft het nummertje goed nagemaakt....

oke oke, ik drukte me verkeerd uit... Rah - Pole Position bedoelde ik...de originele dus, die had ik maar gelijk gedownload, er zit net wat méér in.

nee dat is NIET de uitgebrachte single van nu. dat is de originele versie

Die hele plaat is gewoon weer goed. Paar vage nummertjes maar wel erg lekker!!

ik heb die nummers van die tracklist ook allemaal... Tiesto - Athena heeft ook een hele bekende melodie, kan iemand mij zeggen waar die uit komt?

Lees eerst eens de info op de CD/vinyl voor je gaat blaten oke?

en hier haal ik niks uit van dat iets op staat van comming home mss staat het wel op de heel cd/vinyl maar die heb ik niet gezien ik heb de vinyl met 4 nummer er op Athena Olympic Flame coming Home victorious dat is de reden dat ik blaten
maar vind het gewoon niet echt goed als hij veel sampels gebruikt van zijn oude nummer of van ander zo als je in dit forum kan lezen voor de verdere rest tiesto

Rah - Pole Position is toch beter

Ik heb beide tracks achter elkaar gezet in een mix, dan hoor je het jatwerk pas echt goed.... zelfs de (overigens zeer slechte) basskick is exact hetzelfde.....

Heeft iemand al het mystery van de nummers-mixup ontrafelt?...

Ik wil nu wel eens weten wat de exacte titel is van die Rah - Pole Position ripoff....

Op het album is dat track 7 en heet het "Olympic Flame"...

Op de vinyl zou het de track "Euphoria" zijn en nu maken DJ Shah & Pedro del Mar van Mellomania het helemaal te gek door in hun tracklist te melden dat de track "Athena" heet...

Zijn de vinyls gewoon verkeerd gelabeld of staan op de Cd de verkeerde titels?

Dat nr dat op 'Rah - Pole Position' lijkt heet Olympic Flame.

Kijk maar op de tracklist van de DVD. Olympic Flame was het 2e nr wat Tijs draaide op TIC (zaterdag)..

DVD heb ik (nog) niet... zou toch pas 2 of 3 december uitkomen?.... Dan gaan we eens kijken in de platenzaak komende week....

Dat klopt Die is ook nog niet uit
