Ik moet eerlijk bekennen dat ik die nog nooit in een andere set etc gehoord heb.

Nee, helaas, ik ken die ook absoluut niet. Wel ouderwets lekkere set. Niet supergemixt (zoals gewend in die tijd), maar wel veel gave platen achter elkaar, en in lekker tempo ! Dat mis je in een set van nu ook vaak vind ik. Vroeger had je in een kwartier 7/8 platen gehoord, en nu 3 ofzo...

Toen was er nog geen sprake van dj's zoals David Guetta en consoorten met hun pre-fabricage studio mixen die ze al voorbereid hadden. Was toen puur vinyl werk.. Beatmixen was zelf nog niet noodzakelijk... Pure music...!!!

Idd wij gingen toen ook puur voor de muziek, kwas toen zelf al dj maar heb mij daar eigenlijk nooit aan geërgerd, en er zelfs nooit bij stil gestaan.

Paul Johnson, Robert Armani, DJ Deeon, Jesse Saunders, Da Posse.... wat hebben ze allemaal gemeen, naast dat ze geweldige house hebben gemaakt ? Juist, ook het label, namelijk Dance Mania uit Chicago, opgericht door Jesse Saunders. Daar is vorig jaar een leuke verzamelaar van verschenen, waar uiteraard veel aan ontbreekt, maar staan toch paar leuke dingen op.

In FLAC zelfs, dus betere kwaliteit kan niet. Maar dan nog klinken sommige platen hierop erg ruk, maar ja.... Het gaat om de M.F. Bass Bitches
