Harddance

Hardhouse, hardtrance en een beetje techno en een héél klein beetje hardstyle (althans zo draai ik het).
Op de één of andere manier komt deze muziekstroming niet helemaal door.
Ben wel benieuwd naar de meningen over hoe dat komt.
Te hard voor de Tiesto/cor fijneman enz. liefhebbers, te soft voor de hardstylers/hardcoreliefhebbers enz.

Mijn mening is dat harddance van alles in zich heeft om verrassende uptempo (gb) en/of beukende duitse/hollandse platen te mixen. Tóch muzikaal én stevig.

Well, that's not entirely true, a pity you think that way. First, for months there a no new reviews by Charly/ Martijn. So I think it's more a mixed view in which I honestly tell what I like and don't like. And I do understand readers tend to remember the negative. What I don't like is writing a 'Promotional Review', based on personal relationships, in which you don't write what you really mean, objectively as possible. You can't review a mix cd when you closely related to someone. As you know Fausto and Charly know eachother quite well. That's the main part, besides that I noticed some lacking knowledge or mistakes. The problem occurs when someone can't cope with feedback and blames (and in this case even threatens with voilence) the messenger. Don't shoot the messenger, but take a view in the mirror

Like many people of my generation I don't like some of the new stuff coming out. Many 'older' harddance fans quited because of 1) hardstyle 2) techtrance. I think that's a shame because there are still some good tracks. Iain Cross' Next phaze e.g. is in my opinion one of the best hardtrance tracks ever made and lots of Nomads tracks I like as well. At the harder side of harddance I like artists like Shanty, Olly Addictive, AC Slaughter, Alek Szahala, Pain On Creation & Nomic.

When something is wrong or 'negative' in a review, I think it's quite normal to react and tell a different point of view. When a reviewer makes again and again the same clear mistakes, is dishonest, it's not the messenger who is to blame. But the reviewer who doesn't want to listen and is stubborn.

Of course. I'm -like many people, who shared this same view in this topic in the past, not positive about him. And I have some very good reasons for that. Nothing wrong what that, just an opinion. I know you think differently about Charel, perhaps I'm wrong but I think that's just a matter of time.

Yeah I am aware you don't like him, it just seems quite bitter when you jump on all the recent articles/reviews they do with lots of negative comments when some of them I think are unjust. I would actually like to see an objective review or two of you of some new releases.
