I just saw this facebook event, this may well get interesting. :doetiewoep:

"After German blog "All is Smoke and Mirrors" floated an idea of an organized bank run (something attempted previously in the US without much success) in France in response to French austerity protests (which have resulted in no gains), the effort has since expanded to a pan-European organized bank run day on December 7, 2010, and has metastasized to Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Greece. We are confident that very soon the rest of Europe, which is currently gripped in a climate of extremely unpopular austerity, will join in this symbolic protest against banking, which unlike the US, may just succeed, considering the European banking system is in total shambles, and in far worse shape than its American counterpart."

I would like to speak my mind on the subject of banking criminals. But if I would do that sincerely, I would be arrested because of hate speech.

That is because the Americans are better at white collar crime than we are. ;)

Except if you're a big shot board member, you're still a victim of these crimes yourself. Given the fact that you're 23 years old, I'd say the latter would be the case.

The smartest way to subdue people is to make them have the feeling they are part of the group who profits from the system. But in reality most people who defend the system are just victims of it, who have been tricked into believing they are benefiting from it.

Don't think that I'm trying to say you're a stupid cunt, as loads of pretty intelligent people fall for these schemes....

Every time Fed cut the interest rate, US Dollar becomes less attractive.
You can introduce it where it fits. :loser:

Are you ready for hyperinflation?

Well, I'm tax exempt first off, as i'm also a part-time student. Secondly, I have 0 debt, and in addition to both of these, I don't use banks or cards to keep my money, I have never trusted them. ;) So, since i'm a victim in your minds eye, explain your logic to me, you've got my attention brudddah! Or am I just a victim because I live within the borders of the disgusting, war-hungry, Capitalist regime of the US of A? Lolol.

Well, you live in a society ruled by money, and therefore ruled by the banking world. They are one of the biggest causes of inflation and therefore are a large contributing factor to the price you have to pay to keep a certain standard of living.

Nope. I might be many things , but I'm NOT a tin-foil hatter.
True, it is indeed ruled by money. But, on the same token, is there such a thing as a functioning, successful, main-stream society which ISN'T in one way or another ruled/heavily influenced by cash or material items? There may be, I am definitely not an expert on such matters.. but i've never heard of one.

Knowledge and visiting other cultures is far better than cash IMO, get rid of money and offer that in exchange for services/merchandise, and life would be bliss. B) Not that it would work out in any way shape or form.. just my fantasy, haha.

Money is not the problem. What you say is understandable, but the problem isn't money itself, which is just an official document used as an IOU by people who don't want to carry bags of gold and silver around.

The problem is that the current system (even after reforms resulting from the credit crisis) rewards short-term casino moneymaking, and counteracts the interests of society on the long term.

Why could this get out of hand? Because banks have become too important, and the only purpose of banks is to make more money out of money. Not making more money with production of goods or offering of services, but just money itself.

All a bank really needs to do is to act as a lubricant for the various parts of the economic machine. Yet today the lube has become the main part, the very fuel of the machine, cuz more money is made ont eh stock market than by all people's wages combined, at least in The Netherlands.

And since the value of money has been disconnected from precious metals since the 70's, this just leads to inflation, which everyone suffers from, except the top of the ice berg who profit from this system.

zerohedge is shit... just FYI
Eric Cantona's call for bank protest sparks online campaign

probably a good thing... fuck the banks (and looks like germany is screwing everyone once again).

i'm surprised ireland is going for the bailout. think the people will revolt? higher taxes and lower wages for the citizens, but same low corporate tax rate... how is that fair?

i also just read this article about how they can't even sell apartments in northern ireland for 11,000 euros. yea... i'm sure that bailout is going to help a lot... lol.

Their silver and gold will not be able to save them in the day of the Lord's wrath.
They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it, for it has made them stumble into sin."

I can't wait to hear from you about hyperinflation. It will be the destiny of US Dollar for next years.
Fed's quantitative easing 2 is a dangerous game... (n)
Austerity measures are bad for Europe, but hyperinflation will be worse for USA.

i bet the hungarians and czechs, etc will be glad they never joined the euro since the ECB is obviously not going to stop printing money in order to save the PIIGS.

It will not be fun, just tragic. Spain has a high probability to suffer bank run, and become next Argentina.
Spain's unemployment rate hits 20%, and Spain did have a horrific housing burble, so Spanish banks has too many houses that are finished but unsold.

People are tired of politics and banks. If Spanish people contribute to bank run, then banks failures.

U.S.A. did have a horrific housing burble too, but Ben Bernanke has opened the way to quantitative easing, so American people lose and banks win. :gaap: (n)

how much longer will the people of the EU tolerate Olli Rehn?
