Define what a terrorist is?

Can someone define what a terrorist is? Becuase I just had a very long debate with someone and I tend to think a Terrorist can be seen and construed as a Freedom Fighter. I think its open to interpretation to a certain degree.

terrorist is a person that for every reason (faith, colour, whatever he wants) tryes to convince people to think the same (and for who doesn't believe/agree, has to die) using terror and death...

Not really, sometimes somebody is said to be a terrorist and he doesnt have to be a reason of someone's death. For exaple- we can hear about terrorist in hacking meaning...

Absolutely. What we think are sucide terrorists in Iraq, that is what they themselves call Freedom Fighters. And they are right. America took away there freedom.

The difference between a terrorist and a freedom fighter is your own point of view...

According to the FBI, nearly everybody is a terrorist.


They even got responses from local Law Enforcement agencies asking if they were terrorists.

I guess the Boston Tea Party would be considered a Terrorist Act then too... But that was Americans protesting the Tax on Tea. so they blew up a ship and dumped the tea in the harbor.
