Wyndell Long
http://rapidshare.com/files/77635521/dj_wyndellLong_-_technomix.mp3.html
A devoted music fiend since the age of 7, Wyndell grew up on black radio during the P/Funk era in Chicago. A move to the Suburbs changed his listening perspective to a much wider spectrum of music. Prince, Streisand, Rolling Stones, My Bloody Valentine, any body who made a song he liked was purchased no matter what genre it was. He was also lucky enough to be right in the middle of the Chicago / Detroit house-techno movement with the legendary labels such as Trax, Transmat and Dance Mania coming into form. DJing and beatmaking were a hobby until he ran out of college money. Wyndell decided to pursue music full time. He had primarily Hip Hop and alternative music in mind because at the time the House / Techno scene was dead in Chicago due to bad business practices. A DJ friend he met up with at NIU college, Mike Dearborn, had been releasing records with DJAX in the Netherlands. He brought some records he was spinning over to his place and let him listen to them for a couple days. That's when things changed and he channeled his energies in the pursuit of Techno and Chicago House. The music he thought was dead was alive and well. His first endeavors into the dance scene started with co - production and remix work as well as monthly mix tape productions. Without any contacts in the industry he pursued EP deals of his own and hooked up with some of the most respected labels all over the world, his first with the legendary Peacefrog Label.
Since his Peacefrog release he has had an impressive run of consistent quality releases with some of the best labels in the world like Primate, Djax, Reel Musiq, Subspace, Majesty, Elypsia, R&S and more. His tracks have been played by some of the biggest names in the business as well, and appear regularly in DJ sets all over the world.
Wyndell is also a true Chicago techno and house Dj. His main concern is that what he plays is unique, but at the same time makes people want to dance instead of stand around looking at speakers. He has appeared with the likes of some of the best DJ’s in the business like Mike Dearborn, Marco Bailey, Surgeon & Steve Stoll.
Now he currently pursues a variety of identities as a World Class DJ, track master & polished music producer and audio engineer.
