DEDICAT3D - THE DJ PRODUCER:
One respected artist in focus, surrounded by friendly artists, a small venue with intimate atmosphere and a huge dosis of underground attitude; that’s DEDICAT3D. On friday the 26th of October, the Melkweg in Amsterdam will be the stage of the first edition of DEDICAT3D – The Dj Producer!
Luke McMillan, a.k.a The DJ Producer has been a name synonymous with the U.K. underground rave/techno scene for the last 15 years. Every person in the scene has come to know the turntable-skilled Brit with his explosive energy and big enthusiasm for music.
A history lesson His passion for high powered, super precise, rapid beat mixing stems from his early passions of electro and hip hop. He got his first turntables in 1988, with which the skinny white kid from Shepton Mallet dived himself into hip hop. Since these days of hedonism, Luke's career has gone from strength to musical strength, and as the music evolved, Luke really began to carve his name into the uk rave scene as one of the first mainstream 'hardcore techno' dj's in the uk. With a growing amount of own productions Luke started to get recognition on the other side of the North Sea. Meanwhile Luke has dropped a clear mark on the scene with releases on labels such as Rebelscum, Deathchant, The Third Movement and performances at Thunderdome, Club r_AW and the French Astropolis. The Dj Producer is a name which garantees an up tempo UK sound like its only made on the Brittish isle. The DJ Producers’ sound according to the man himself: “Hardcore techno with breakbeats – but I mix it up with industrial and drum and bass.”
To get the maximum out of the night The Dj Producer next to his dj set will also perform live on stage! “In the live set I will backtrack over 12 years of producing and mix old tracks with new. In the dj set I will play key tracks from various artists that made me as a dj over the same time period.“
During the evening
The Dj Producer will be accompanied by the live act of
Deathmachine (“The new breed...”), the dark drum ’n bass work of
Eye-D & Hidden (“My Dutch Brothers in breakbeat”) and
Promo with an alternative sound (“I would be the first to criticise – but this dude has it“).
DEDICAT3D will be held at the ‘oude zaal’ of the Melkweg, Amsterdam. The Melkweg can be found at the Lijnbaansgracht in Amsterdam. Right in the center of the nightlife of the city the Melkweg can best be reached with public transit. Fridaynight from 22:00 tot 05:00, so saturday transit will commence on normal times! (payed) Parking is also available in the neighboorhood of the Melkweg. Tickets at € 15,- (excl. fee) are available throughout The Netherlands at all Ticketservice points (
