I'm gonna try to get it at the bookstore tomorrow. I wanted to order the book at bol.com but our mailman is a lazy bastard . Instead of ringing and saying he's got a package, he puts a note in our mailbox that says he'll try again one day later (which would be on monday). On monday he puts in a note that the package is available at TNT the next day after 3 o'clock, so I'll have in on Tuesday
I hope the bookstores got enough so I can get it tomorrow I don't want to read the book in English to be honest, but if I wait until the Dutch version is out (november) I'll already know who died and stuff like that trough people who can't keep their mouth shut

Well I started my reading in Dutch, and when you're used to that, the English version is very annoying

But I saw all movies in English

It's much more realistic to read a book in English. Especially when the author is British

I started with Harry Potter 5, in english. Finished it, then started with the first one in dutch. I stoped after few pages. It didn't feel the same.

After that I read the first four books in english within a week.

Some books are not for making into a movie.... This is one of 'm Characters don't match the ones in the book in my humble opinion... Hagrid is anything but scary (Hell, Gimli, the dwarf in LOTR looks more evil and horrifying than him) and I can go on like this for a couple of hours

I've learned that it's not possible to make movies from genius/complicated books.

LOTR is pretty well done, butt don't look at the details

the english versions are mostly better en more fun

Indeed! They couldn't get it right when they started with IT by Stephen King (first book-movie I can remember) and they haven't improved over the years

LOTR is pretty well done, correct; but I got so annoyed when Tom Bombadil was nowhere to be found and when at the beginning of part two they already informed us Gandalf was still alive... I was seriously swearing in the Chelmsford Theater

Bod, maybe magic mushrooms? We don't know what they get for dinner at Hogwarts...

I nearly stopped watching the movie here!!

Then there was no meeting of the halflings and the Elfs who were leaving Middle Earth (is in the extra extended versions)

many other indescrepancies with the bokks

Then the final insult i felt was right at the end of the trilogy when the Halflings return to The Shire and everything is ok instead of being taken over by Saurumon, I was waiting for this in the cinema at the end of the third movie and when Saurumon got killed by Wormtongue i was gutted because I knew Peter Jackson had shish kebabed a new ending for himself

did you see the making of, on the extended dvd. There they explain why they choise for certain changes. That is pretty good.

I also must note, that I never finished the first LOTR boo, because it didn't hold my intrest to get me through the prolog. After 150 pages they wheren't even out of the village.

I've got it for 8,95 yesterday some kind of action. But who cares i've got the book..

I have read all the books in dutch so i really don't no some of characters names. But the main characters I do now, so back te ready for me now.

I really think he's gone die, just like sherlock homes (badly spelled i now) so no one can take Harry Potter for writing more books.

I just finished reading it, and have to say i enjoyed reading it as much as i did with the previous harry potter books.

I just started listing to the audiobook..

Last night I stranded at page 212.. We got 2 kittens on thursday night who, of course, take a lot of my time and destract me (which I love ) so I can't read as much as I'm used to.. But I'll think I'll be done in a day or two, even though I have to work 11 hours a day I just can't put the book aside

One of my colleagues, or actually, one of my users; started an entire conversation this morning in the smoking room: I think whatshisname, the head-wizard will die, and that 'new dad' of Harry! Just one hour of work to go..then I'll get my kittens and try to read while they try to eat Harry's head off They seem to love HP as much as I do, they keep playing with the book haha.. And no, they don't do it with other books
