Een groep radicale islamietjes heeft gedreigd Tiësto van kant te maken als hij op 2 juli gaat optreden in Beiroet.
Dat meldt de Libanese nieuwswebsite Yalidnan.com. Volgens de krant heeft de groep Fatah al-Islam de dj bedreigd. Ook zangeres Shakira zou een doelwit zijn voor de extremisten, die 'rivieren van bloed' aankondigen als de Libanese regering niet stopt met haar acties tegen Fatah al-Islam.
“we will tear out your hearts with traps and surround your places with explosive canisters, and target all your businesses, beginning with tourism and ending with other rotten industries... We warn you for the last time, and after it there will only be rivers of blood”, aldus de weinig vrolijke aankondiging van de Al Qaeda gerelateerde groep.
Dit zegt de krant over de op handen zijnde aanslag:
